From out of town and stopped here for the first time. After driving about 30 hours, we did a quick pick up so that we could eat and get to our rental. I was disappointed that I couldn't order the vegan wrap. It was not available on the mobile order and that is all I wanted. I had the tofu bowl instead and it was good, just not what I wanted.
My husband had the Johnny Utah and he said it was delicious. Price point is high, but we are from the midwest so I'm guessing the prices are standard for AZ. I would consider eating here again if I can get the vegan wrap.

A few bucks more than typical. But really good. Got the Johnny utah and Cubanno. Regarding an earlier post that had me questioning the utah. I attached a photo of my Utah sandwich. Plenty of turkey. No complaints. Quality sandwiches. To go order.

Just paid 15.00 for a sandwich with 1 slice of turkey. Absolutely ridiculous, our shop eats here a few times a week and we have seen a serious decline. This is the final straw they just lost 15 customers in one swoop. Never coming back

Surf City Sandwich is as good as it gets! I grew up in a small surf town called San Clemente, which “had” the best sandwich shop in the world, or at least the best I've ever had until now, called Billy’s Meat Market. I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not a recent transplant, and I'm not trying to CA your AZ, but I appreciate the warm welcome I've received. Congestion and housing prices aside, this place is on par with Billy’s. Believe me when I say that this is high praise. The ingredients at Surf City are fresh, high-quality, delicious, and this might sound a bit weird but, their food leaves you feeling “clean”. Every sandwich has been perfectly crafted. Their fries are quite possibly the best I've ever had, anywhere! Some restaurants bring the best of home to you, and this is one of them. If you’re on the fence, take the leap already. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Even during the remodel, they have a really smooth operation! The lady that took our order (owner I think?) was super nice and brought us water and napkins. Excited to see the new changes!

Much to our surprise, the indoor dining area is closed and under construction. They do have misters out front and 2 little tables, but it was super humid today and hot so probably took away from the full experience. I was wishing there was a heads up on their site that reflected this. The sandwiches were good though…

Not impressed! Went to get a sandwich and the dining area is closed so you have to order outside. I stood outside and waited and nobody came to help so I had to leave as I didn’t want to wait in the heat. Hope they get things fixed. I don’t feel your response addresses the issue that your service did not meet expectations. It’s perfectly fine to submit a review when there is an issue and it’s not punishment. It’s an assessment of your business.

Im sure i’ll get crucified for this because this place is an icon in gilbert lol and don't get me wrong the food is very tasty, service is great and the vibes are awesome. However, the sandwiches in my opinion are very poorly put together (like one bite and everything falls out) and the fries are pretty bad (overcooked and very short). Idk if I've just been unlucky on the fries and who is making my sandwich, but it’s bad. Other than that the food is great and I will still keep going back. If everyone just gave 5 stars all the time there would be no place to improve right? 9/10 will always recommend going here still.

Came in because a friend recommended Surf City Sandwiches, I wasn't disappointed!! Kind and friendly cashier (they just do take out orders right now because of construction). The hot pastrami was INCREDIBLE! I took it to go and ate it 15 minutes later and it was just everything you want AND MORE from a pastrami sandwich! If you want a great sandwich, with great service at a good price GO HERE!
