I've been coming here for a little over a year and always get the Noni's pesto chicken sandwich, and I didn't mind paying a higher price for such a delicious sandwich. However the recipe has definitely changed and unfortunately not for the better. My suggestion... you used to grill the chicken and now it seems you boil it, something has definitely changed because it just does not taste as good. I decided to give Surf City Sandwich a try after hearing it was good and I was in the mood for a cheesesteak sandwich. I ordered my sandwich to go and was a bit shocked at how expensive it was. This is not a cheap place but they do give you a large sandwich and it comes with fresh chips. The sandwich had a lot of flavor but it was not to my taste and I didn’t care much for it. I felt like I was overcharged for an okay sandwich. The home made chips were very good.
I absolutely love this place! It’s always consistent. My husband is a huge fan of the Surf City Philly—it’s packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I love coming here!
