This place is so cool. As a dark romance fan independent coffee shop girly, I walked in and felt like this place was made with me in mind! The decor is so stunning, I love the coffee bar set up, and the books are all romance, romantasy, dark romance, YA and the like. They also sell bookish gifts and trinkets! There is also a cute little photo booth to take some pictures with a friend!

Yesterday our womans group visited The Bookish Shop! There were 54 of us! I am only giving this shop 4 stars because I had emailed back and forth with Drew to let them know we would be coming at a set day and time and she did not relay this to her staff. We had even set up a small 10% discount for the group for drink purchases which the staff didn't know about. I had to show them emails so they wouldnt think I was lying. The staff was overwhelmed because they didnt have a heads up and if they would have known they would maybe have had a few more people on staff that morning to make it less stressful. When big parties visit small businesses it can be hectic so that is why I tried to communicate well before the day of our arrival. After the initial craziness the staff was super nice. The shop itself was beautiful. The drinks were delicious!! The breakfast burritos that were being made outside were a perfect addition and the photobooth was a FAVORITE! We have a lot of readers in the group and many of them found some new reads!! I hope to be back and do this again but I will absolutely be calling the shop myself to give them a heads up instead of relying on Drew to relay information to her staff.

Absolutely love this place! My sister and I meet up here every Tuesday to get a coffee, (I recommend the Bloody Latte) and pick out a new book. They are a romance only bookstore, but have a wide variety of romance: fantasy, dark, contemporary, historical, ya and queer romance. They also have a wide variety of merch. A photo booth and a screen playing romance movies (with subtitles!) make this a cozy fun place to relax. Will update with some pics I'll take on Tuesday!

Super cute, well-curated, nicely located coffee/book shop with cute gift selections. There’s even a few racks of book-themed shirts & sweaters, perfect for gifts, or a (ahem) book nerd lol. Most of all, the service was friendly & super helpful. A delightful accidental find that I will absolutely be back for.
A really neat concept of a bookstore mixed with a coffee shop. Not a huge selection of books & it's definitely more femininely skewed but still worth a visit.

I went on a Friday morning so it wasn't too buay. Parking was very easy across the street. The ambience was calming, there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I bought a drip coffee with almond milk and syrup. Sounds simple but most places overdo it but it was well balanced. I enjoy it, while walking around the bookstore and was able to cozy up next to the electric fireplace in the back. I will definitely come back.

Such a great spot for romance and romantasy lovers. I happened to go on a rainy day and the vibe inside was dim, cozy, and really chill, which made it easy to settle in and stay a while. The coffee selection was great, and the people working there were very friendly and welcoming. They don’t sell full meals, but they do have a few pastries, I had the custard Danish and ended up getting a second one after being there for a couple of hours without even noticing the time go by. Parking was easy to find, the shop is located in Downtown Gilbert, very cute area! I’ll definitely be coming back.
