This year, I decided to order myself my own Birthday cake. I did some research and loved the idea that they do Italian buttercream and offered mousse as fillings compared to just flavored American buttercream. My cake came out beautifully. I listen to the instructions, the cake was left out to thaw before serving. I was really disappointed because the cake was extremely dry. 😕 there is nothing better then left over Birthday cake. Unfortunately this is still sitting in my fridge.

Erica and her team were absolutely amazing and made my wedding so special with their desserts. They were super responsive and quick to make any changes I wanted to make. The desserts and cake were delicious and my wedding guests were talking about them all night. Cannot recommend enough!!

So happy we went with Whisk & Paddle for our wedding. We had a meeting with Erica and completed a tasting on cakes and desserts. She really helped us with our choices and was there to answer all questions leading up to the wedding. They not only delivered but set up right before reception, so everything was fresh. Our cake was exactly what we envisioned and tasted even better! Most importantly our guests loved the dessert table. Every mini dessert was amazing.

Unfortunately I regret my decision to go with this cake. I sampled 3 different places and believed they had the best price & service for my parents 50th anniversary. I never thought I’d be picky about cake as any cake I’ve had is sweet and appreciated. I ordered 3 cakes, and they all were incredibly dry, ending up being a piled heap of crumbled pieces that wouldn’t slice properly. The boasted “soft and moist” champagne chiffon didn’t tasted like it at all but more of a dried out essence of lemon. We had a ton left over and nobody wanted to take any cake home which is a review in itself. People asked if it was home made. Good service and easy ordering, but Complete disappointment and embarrassment.

I wish I could give more than five stars. My husband and I recently got married at the Paseo and had the pleasure of working with Erica. Our family has many differing food allergies and Whisk and Paddle was able to accommodate for both our dessert bar and also made the most delicious gf/df lemon chiffon cake for us! My husband and I were blown away by how incredible our cake was, and we can’t wait to buy one for each anniversary to come. Our guests also RAVED about each of the desserts and were beyond thrilled to see the variety of sweet treats everybody could enjoy!

We have been partnering with Erica and her team at Whisk and Paddle for the past 1.5 years. We own a chiropractic office in the same plaza and they prepare cupcakes for all of our patient's birthdays. We are very grateful for them and their kindness. They have so many different flavors (because they make the cupcakes from left over cake batter) and we have nothing but good things to say about their customer service.

SO DELICIOUS!!! Erica and her team did a stunning job with the desserts and our cake for our wedding! It was a total hit! The tasting was lovely and they have such a great variety of options. We even had some leftovers that we are still snacking on!

4/13/24: What wonderful treats out of such a small store! We popped in this morning shortly after their 9 a.m. opening (after hitting up the Gilbert Farmers Market). Their display cases were filled with couple small cakes, eight different cupcake flavors, some dessert shooters, and a couple bars. Oh, and they recently started offering some drinks, saying they plan to swap out drink flavors maybe once a week. This morning was basil lemonade. In hindsight, we should have bought one. Darn it.There were eight cupcake flavors, we bought one of each. I remember six: triple chocolate, champagne, poppyseed, strawberry, birthday, and lemon. We had the champagne flavor for breakfast dessert, yeah, I said breakfast dessert! :-) It was light and airy, with a small dollop of whipped cream frosting. It was not overly sweet; like Baby Bear said in the fairytale, "it was just right".The bakeshop is tucked away in a small strip mall, which means there is plenty of parking. Both the ladies we spoke with were smiling and polite. As one was filling up the box that holds a dozen cupcakes, it was extremely difficult for us not to add four more to our order so we would have a full box.When I complimented the owner on her logo, turns out she hired someone through Etsy to create it. They did an excellent job.We will definitely hit up Whisk & Paddle again the next time we're in the 'hood.
