Just got back from a trip to the SW and I had the good fortune of finding Janie's. I found truly authentic NM style food that was home cooked! In speaking with Janie I learned that she gets her red and green chili fresh from Hatch NM and then she makes her sauces in the kitchen there.
We're from Chicago & know great food. I highly recommend this Cafe. Five of us totally enjoyed every bite. The green chili sauce had a unique flavor & the portions were more than enough.
Was alright. Stopped in here to get a quick bite to eat. Only had Mexican dishes, flavor was pretty flat compared to what we typically find in small restraunts of this caliber. Might try again if we are in the area and want something off their American dish menu.
