I was dining solo so I took a seat at the bar. The server bartender asked if I wanted a drink & handed me a menu. I said, “While think on that , just water for now. “20 minutes later, no water, no server so I walked out and dined elsewhere.

We’ve dined here often – in small groups, and also large parties. Most recently, we reserved the back room for a party – the service was superb. The food was great and the staff did everything they could to create the best experience possible.

We had lunch for the first time at the golf Canyon Cafe. We were very hungry after our hot air balloon ride. We were not disappointed. The food and service very good.

Went here for lunch. Great food and service. They make their onion rings from scratch, not frozen and the freshest sandwich bread I’ve ever had. I had the club sandwich and my husband had the cat fish sandwich. Can’t wait to go back. Huge portions. Only down side is an extra 3.5% charge for using a card so take cash to avoid it.

We have visited the area many times and never went here. Our food was really good, service was friendly and fast. Has that welcoming small town cafe feel. We will be back next time!

4 of us had a late breakfast here yesterday & were very happy with it. We all have different tastes so 4 different orders & all were happy especially me with the Philly steak omelette...wonderful!

My meal was YUK. The shrimp was positively the worst embarrassment of a meal ever. My husband had chicken fried steak. The french fries were great, the cfsteak, not bad. His peas and carrots were mushier than out of a can. Back to my shrimp, Okay I was staving. Ate one and went WHAT.??? Ate part of the second and spit it out. Tried peeling the next, Still a gooey mess. The baked potato was dry. A local actually recommended this to us. Again. YUK. We told the waitress the shrimp was bad and she just ignored the issue. DONT GO HERE. This was our 40th anniversary dinner after a great hike. Way to rain on my anniversary Gold Canyon Cafe.

Picked up 2 dinners to go. 1 meatloaf special and a 2 piece cod dinner. Food was ok, only had 1 piece of meatloaf seemed odd. Had meatloaf special before in restaurant and received 2 pieces. The reason for the 2 star is beware on paying either cash or credit card. This place automatically adds 3% for credit card transaction but there was a sign 3.5% cash discount when paying in cash. The server could not explain and had no clue on the sign but did not want food cold to discuss with mngr. or the owner. Beware of extra charges or no discount with cash....

Rube's Cafe is five stars because the food is excellent, the place is not fancy but very clean. The service is good and Rube herself is very personable. We highly recommend Rube's Cafe!
