Nice cocktail lounge with small plates and bar bites. The ambiance of the entire hotel is quite enjoyable.

Appalling service. Slow, nonchalant and arrogant staff who made avoidable mistakes. Embarrassing really when you consider the size of the “cocktail” room. The first time I haven’t left gratuity in the States.

Overall great experience and drinks. We had the pork belly (definitely try...if you like pork), duck tacos (these were ok) and the sweet potato fries (I don't like sweet potato and these were good). The service was amazing, everyone very friendly and inviting. Sat right next to the large window that had an amazing view of the canyon.

A waiter mistook us for a tourist, at $5.60 for a coffee, plus it was impossible to get a bill ? weird

We got the fish tacos. Bland with store bought guacamole and salsa. The charcuterie board was just deli meat. Waitress was great.

The ambience and service are the only good thing about this lounge. The food is simply a disgrace for the price! The portions are small and the chilli and fries weren't even really warm!

Was looking to dine at the El Tovar restaurant, but no way to get in without a reservation for peak season. Was a little hesitant when sitting inside the lounge and read the reviews. Turn out the foods were great, server were very nice and attentive. Guess they shares kitchen with the main restaurant, except you will not get the steak in here. Every dish was tasty, the apple pie in the end was delightful and delicious. Had to order a second, you cant skip that!

A quiet seat on a clear day with a lovely view of the canyon. Zachary was sweet and funny, and the elderflower sour was a phenomenal choice. A lovely way to unwind.

Staff is rude, they will have yoy wait for 20 plus minutes before acknowledging you. I had to flag them down. Then when attempting to talk to staff they are rude and condescending.

Everything was delicious. A little bit pricey but hey it's by the grand canyon so in my opinion that makes since. My main complaint is I feel like the bartenders need more training. Your by the grand canyon so of coarse your main clients are going to be on vacation, people having fun and enjoying them selves. My party had one round of drinks and we were cut off by Andrew from Illinois. We asked why and it was you had enough. It's understandable table if other guests were complaining however a joke was told and we all laughed. I guess your suppose to not be excited and not have a good time at this place. It's a get your food one drink and be on your way.

The waiters are lazy, the kitchen is slow, the menu only has simple food but you have to wait for a long time, and the waiters will only chat next to each other. This is the most premium place in the Grand Canyon and not worth spending money on. Do everything you can to avoid it. .

The staff are very lazy. Especially the waiters are chatting with each other and wandering around to pretend they are very busy. These people deserve minimum wage:) Try everything to avoid entering this place

I don't usually leave reviews often, but I'm leaving a review because I can't understand why this amazing place only has a rating of 3.3.
First of all, the food is pretty good, especially the truffle fries. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is really comfortable, so it's a place I come to when I'm hungry.

Provided good food and drinks at an off time mid afternoon. Accomodated our family quite well. Really appreciated it.

The magic of El Tovar and the history this place represents is awesome. The lounge is well appointed and clean. The lite fare cocktail lounge menu fits the purpose of the place. Our chili was decent.Sadly, our server Zach was beyond poor. He was rude, condescending and downright disrespectful to our party as well as several others within earshot. Everything during our brief visit was done on his agenda. Don't plan to ask questions, Zach will tell you to read the menu and will come back later. He then coached us to understand that he runs a fast paced shift. Ordered a beer and the tap ran dry after pouring a partial glass. He brings us half a beer. No offer to provide another option. No apology, only announced he would bring the rest later. After several minutes Zach returns... With another half glass. Who serves a half glass of beer, much less two? There was so much more wrong with our experience, and all of it surrounding our server. The rest of the place was great. Zach needs a serious attitude adjustment or perhaps could find success in another career, perhaps one that limits his customer contact responsibility.
