Our plan was to eat at the Arizona Steakhouse, sit by the windows with a beautiful view of the canyon. When we arrived, the place was packed, long wait… it seems the Steakhouse was closed (no explanation given) and everyone was being accommodated at this cafe. After about 30 minute wait, we were seated at the back of the cafe, next to a window facing the parking lot (as it happened, we could see our car!). The waiter made a joke about our “beautiful view” and I confess we didn’t appreciate it. The food and service were fine, nothing great or exceptional. It was disappointing, as we expected more. The cafe is accessible, but crowded and the bathrooms are located in the adjacent hotel. Lots of big groups and kids! Parking was challenging, but that was expected.

Been coming to G.C. for years. The food quality has just gone downhill while the prices have gone into orbit!Had Pot Roast on top of watery (most likely instant mashed potatoes-which can be fine if made properly) with a few vegetables on side. It was like eating soup with beef tossed on top with a half pound of salt added for flavor! Our wonderful National Park system should be ashamed of itself letting the concessionaires get away with this especially considering the millions of international visitors. Fine impression they get of American food which of course is superior so many places, just not in Harvey House Cafe.

We were looking for dinner and there few choices in our area. Harvey House only had 3.3 stars overall, which we would ordinarily tell us to try somewhere else, but we were tired and decided we probably wouldn’t die if we ate there. Instead, we had a very good (probably a 4.5 if we had that option) experience. We were seated right away, our server was excellent, they had around 12 beers on tap and lots of others in bottles or cans, and a reasonable number of meal choices. We both ordered turkey wraps, which were good. I wanted to leave a positive review because I don’t want people to pass up a good dining option due to other low scores.

The wait is ridiculous! Hostess eating while at her booth in front of customers turning guests away because it was late while chewing. Another worker sitting on floor hiding behind hostess booth eating. The rudest waiter in history. My food was horrible so I sent it back. Waiter was really rude so I thanked him for seeing if we needed anything and not filling our water glasses and he responds with a smart a$$ "your welcome" as he walked off. The manager was great and took care of us. I'm hoping she took care of all of them too. I felt bad that they had to deal with these kids who have no work ethic. I would never go back. I'd find somewhere else to go. Was a horrible end to a great day at the canyon

Long wait to get seated. Didn't receive the correct change back from the meal. A little expensive. Constantly busy with customers. Really it was the only place available there to get a quick bite which turned out to be not quick.

I was pleasantly surprised that for a tourist location, the food and service were great. Reasonably prices, with pricing similar to restaurants in non tourist environments. Green Tamale is excellent.

Just had lunch here, and I was very impressed. My husband had the double bacon cheeseburger, which he said was pretty good. I had the pot roast, and it was amazing. It's better than any restaurant pot roast I've ever had. I was so happy with this choice. Our server, Rosa, was so kind and provided great service. Thank you!

After spending the morning hiking and riding the red shuttle to Hermit's Rest and back, we ate a late lunch at the Harvey House Cafe in the 1935 built building. The massive dining room with its wagon wheel chandeliers and rustic ceiling gave the place a nice atmosphere. The five of us had spaghetti with meatballs, pot roast dinner and two salads with soups. Everything was good, but not as good as the El Tovar selections that we had earlier. Service was great.

Good option if you're desperate for food. We had to wait 45 to get a table. We didn't want to, but it was late and we had come from Indiana where it's a different time zone (it was past midnight in Indiana time) and we were starving. At about 10:00 pm we finally got a table and ordered. Little options, but my brother and I got chicken tenders. If you don't know me, chicken tenders are not my usual order. I was originally going to get spaghetti Alfredo, but they were out of it and we had to order something else. The food wasn't bad tasting, but it just didn't have flavor. The servers were nice, but it was just really busy late at night.

A beautiful dining hall inside the Bright Angel lodge. Service was very friendly and no major complaints to be had. The food was reasonably priced when compared to other park dinner options and tasted pretty good overall. Kids meal ended up being a really good value for the price.

I worked in this restaurant from May ‘23 til March ‘24. I watched & felt the environment change when General Manager Darin came into office. He was previously a manager at El Tovar, where he had pushed out multiple employees with his unfit personality for management. The environment at the Harvey house cafe used to be fun & light hearted. Since Darin, everyone has been on guard and careful. He has fired some of our best workers, for the smallest things. You will be scheduled 6-8 days straight, and get in ‘trouble’ (possibly terminated) if your 1-2 days off is not enough time to rest. There are J1’s (young college students from out of country) who work open to close (6am - 9pm) everyday, with no free meals or mini breaks as compensation. When women complain to HR, they get fired, or paid time off in order to transfer to another location. He has had multiple complaints on him through HR, yet still nothing has been done. People continue to get transferred or fired, when speaking up. Within his first week as GM, I had to express to him to keep his hands off of me. He expressed he ‘had issues in the past’ about physical touch and was working on it. He is too grown for a young woman to have to tell him that. I know of multiple women who feel uneasy/unsafe being in the presence of this man.“If you work hard then he will work you harder. If you do anything he doesn’t remotely like he will make sure you know about it. If you try to transfer out he will make it super hard and treat you like a non human. He is one of the worst managers I’ve ever worked for.” - a former employer of his from El Tovar

Very nice place to visit. The food was good, not overly salty and covered with butter. Had vegan options, I had rib shaved sandwich and my husband pan seared salmon. He enjoyed it, he said salmon was cooked perfectly, extra star for having the butter on the side and not on the salmon. Salmon was missing a lemon vedge though that we borrowed from my daughter's fish n chips. Fries was crispy and not stale.Staff was very very nice, the beer was good too. Food was slightly overpriced, but it is expected considering the location.

We had an awesome experience eating here for dinner. We spent the day hiking the rim trail and were famished by dinner time. We checked out the menus at every restaurant in Grand Canyon Village and everyone saw something here they wanted. The food did not disappoint. I had the roast beef which was delicious. The family had the vegetarian burrito which was as big as the plate and a wrap. We shared the apple cobbler for dessert. Everything was very good.Shout out to our server Javier who was so much fun. He added extra smiles and laughs to our evening. His "Can-yon feel the love tonight" will be a forever memory from our trip. Thanks you!
