Hubs and I tried Wagon Wheel Saloon because the Google reviews seemed the least bad! Our experience was very inconsistent. Hubs got the cheeseburger and asked to add bacon. The bacon was indelible. I ordered the house special (filet, breaded shrimp, salad, Brussels sprouts, sautéed mushrooms, and a baked potato). The salad and baked potato were fine. The filet was actually excellent! Service was ok all-in-all. We asked for the bacon to be removed from the bill, but the waiter...
We stayed at the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel and since we were pretty tired from hiking, the restaurant in the hotel came in handy.

Atmosphere: A pleasantly darkened room with high and low tables, reminiscent of an old western saloon. Nice bar, comfortable chairs, football and rodeo playing on the 4 screens. For us a 5/5.

First the good things, cute saloon, and delicious but overpriced prickly pear margarita. Turkey melt was good and the primavera pasta was fine. Cons, waitstaff should know the limited menu better. Our BBQ wings came out as Buffalo wings, and my son ordered mashed potatoes where we specifically asked if there was other gravy besides the mushroom gravy and the waiter said there was. Needless to say the mashed potatoes came out with a ton of mushroom gravy with chunks of mushroom...
