I was in Jerome yesterday. Love that place. I was having a beer and heard the bartender happily tell a friend that Hilltop was open. I asked her about it, and she said that it's a great spot, popular with locals. I try not to pass up those recommendations. I went to Hilltop and got one of the veggie sandwich options. It was delicious.
Wow, a hidden surprise in Jerome. Everyone talks about haunted hamburger, which isn’t that great imo, and often has a several hour wait. Instead I thought I was settling by picking hill top deli but I was very wrong, this place is the real star of Jerome. If you’re thinking of eating in Jerome, please consider this over the ‘attraction’ restaurants.
The hidden gem in Jerome! The environment itself is wonderful - so welcoming and vibrant - but the food is STELLAR!! The staff/owners were not only genuinely hilarious people, but were also very helpful in helping guide our menu selections. The result was two perfectly balanced sandwiches and an equally yummy beverage that complimented both of them perfectly. And, my gluten-free friends -- the lettuce wrap is pure perfection. Cannot recommend this place enough... we will defintely...
