*****ATTENTION PLEASE BEWARE ***** When we gave our card our server Danielle decided to take out her own tip without asking for our permission and that’s never acceptable . I was going to leave a cash tip and not only was given her own tip wrong but she chose to take the higher tip and she definitely was not worth the high tip. So never will we return to this Black Bear ever again do this this behavior!!! I will contact management to warn them of what occurred on our visit!!!
Food was great and the place was clean like it should be , like I said based on the experience of Danielle taking her own tip turned us off and made us be more vigilant the next time we just hand our card out.

Waited 15 minutes to be seated (reasonable) Drinks and order taken in a timely manor. An hour and fifteen minutes later and we (table of three) are still waiting for our food. There is no hostess and only three or four servers trying to keep this train wreck on track! This is a good example of ill-prepared management! We are about to walk out! Update Erynn was great! Really did her best. To bad she doesn't have the support staff necessary for a smooth operation. Clearly the Kitchen doesn't know how to make burnt potatoes as requested.

We went to the diner on Saturday and my hash browns were not cooked all the way. My toast had no butter on it. I usually love the food here but this time I was very disappointed in the cook.

Stopped here on our way from Las Vegas to Sedona. Waited 10 mins for someone to even look at us standing at the wait to be seated sign. Then someone finally came over and said they needed to clean off a table. 10 minutes later we left. There were multiple open tables, I’m guessing they just didn’t want customers that day, you could tell by the looks when the four of us and some other couple walked in.
Hostess disappeared. Server with red puff ball buns was incredibly rude, very dismissive. No pies by 10am. Flat soda. Food okay, but bland. Typically love this chain, but will not return to this location.

This is a great place to go for a nice, home-cooked, sit-down meal like the ones Meemaw used to make. It has a pleasant, open atmosphere with slightly rustic decor, giving it a familiar, welcoming community lodge look and feel that only enhances the home-cooked meal effect. Kid-friendly, you may want to bring the whole family out and get to know each other a little more.
