1000 stars BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE WEST! So years ago, my husband and I lived in town and we used to eat here every week. I got a veggie plate, he got cheese enchiladas. And then we moved away from this horrendous cesspool of a town, and besides a few cool people, El Palacios was really the only thing we missed. We traveled a lot of work and aye a ton of Mexican food, but nothing ever compared. This week we were back in town, and stopped in and they remembered us! Best food to this day, best customer service! We miss them so very much!
Mexican flag is the bomb 💣
It's not as good as it used to be. The front area had a bad smell when we walked in. The back room was not as bad. The food was a little overcooked. Staff was friendly.
I eat at this place currently about twice a year. The food and service are always top notch, and the staff are friendly. They have had some plumbing problem that makes the place smelly. If they could fix that, the place would be just about the best Mexican restaurant within 100 miles.
Food was salty, dry & tasteless. Never again will we pay outrageous prices for poor quality Mexican food.
While it our server Jenny was fantastic, the food was lackluster at best. Best part of the meal was the chips/salsa/beans before dinner. I don't think I'll be going back!
We came for vacation, we all got simple meals and yet the staff was very rude and inefficient we waited 30+ minutes for our food and 20 minutes for the check! We just sat there and they passed multiple times. Very poor service, manager is great though!
Delicious food, friendly service and great atmosphere. If you are a big train fan trains go by.

Place has an air of nice mold; only accented by the patchy furniture and smelly/dank bathroom.
Also, food is not good....very watered down for the locals. Drinks are mid.
On the upside, it's family owned, which is the only reason I even went back to support.

The food is good. The prices have escalated a lot. The lunch special used to be around $8.00., It is now around $15.00 and up. This was for a meal of one cheese enchilada, rice & beans. With water to drink. ?

Have eaten here a great deal over several years. The food was good. The service was great, server was very nice and personable. The AC was not working, so it made the meal a bit uncomfortable.
