We went here first thing in the morning when the main restaurant was just opening. The service was top notch. The food was delicious and the waitress was very attentive and patient with us, especially with the kiddos. Right on the I-40 freeway with Petro gas station connected.
The Iron Skillet provided the quick, tasty meal we wanted before getting back on the road. We were pleased with the variety of options on the menu. The grilled chicken dinner—Cajun style—was flavorful and moist. The atmosphere was pleasant, with apt upbeat popular country hits playing overhead.
Ordered fish and chips for $14. What we got was a strange piece of reconstituted fried something or other. The onion rings were fried to a crisp. I asked the server, this for $14? She said yes, I'm sorry. To her credit, she apologized and she did bring us more onion rings.
