The room had a filthy smell, and the carpet was only cleaned where there was no furnture. Breakfast was a cup of coffie from a coffie pot in the reception. Our biggest disappointment was that the pool was closed, even if they advertised they had a pool on hotels.com, and that was the main reason we chose this Motel.

The good: The clerk at the desk was extremely friendly. We had a few side bars while I was checking in and I enjoyed his conversation. There was an array of HD security monitors at the check-in counter. I found it a bit odd, but at the same time I thought, "At least they have a pretty good monitoring system. Hopefully, it serves as deterent for any unwanted activity." The not so good: Maybe I'm being particular, but I'm not a fan of guests hanging outside of their rooms. When I pulled up and when I went to my truck aroudn 30' later, there was someone outside of their rooms. They could've just been having a smoke, but I would rather not interact with people at dark in a motel parking lot. Once I got settled in my room, I felt secure. There were several locks on the door. The bad: The room was really dated and appeared to be incomplete (one section was empty whereas it should've had some type of furniture). There was an emergency light that flickered dimly all night. The bath towels were off-white at best (grey might be more appropriate). The shower was older so I didn't mind the discoloration. I think my biggest complaint was the bed: It wasn't comfortable at all. Although most of this review is negative and I probably wouldn't stay here again, I slept okay. I didn't hear any street noise or anybody yelling throughout the night.

The room was dirty, the bottom of the tub mat was absolutely black with MOLD. in the nightstand drawer was a squished cockroach! The health department should definitely inspect this motel! Asking for a ground floor room does not exclude stairs to the room.

We stayed here one night and were very disappointed. It did not “feel” clean. It had a weird smell as we entered and even the pillow had a strange smell. The lamp shades were torn, it really needs painting and repairs. The towels were worn and thin. I would not stay here again .I told the manager as we checked out. It did have a nice king bed, microwave and small frig..

This property is nice a retro. Didn’t have handicap rooms available, so had to carry my Oxygen Concentrator up the stairs; ?, the room was clean however when I opened the nightstand, there was an suspicious smoking device; I Don’t smoke, this was glass. With Kleenex I carefully picked it up and took to the front desk and told her that I had found this. She wasn’t quiet sure what it was either. Otherwise the room was clean and fresh smelling. When I checked in, the gentleman was extremely professional and polite; this also included the evening desk clerk. Love it was on historical Route 66

Walls, switches, floors, cupboards, drawers, all FILTHY! I POSTED PICTURES OF WASH CLOTH I USED TO CLEAN A FEW SPACES TO DEMONSTRATE INEPT HOUSEKEEPING.. Didn't want to find another room so I bought cleaner and cleaned room. Along with being tired OUT from my trip, I am very disappointed in this room that I paid good money for. ..

The clerk who checked us in was great! He even gave us an upgrade. The hotel was in need for updates and didn't seem all that clean to me. We got 1st floor rooms but they were still a walk up stairs (not too great for hubby and sister's knees). The hotel was right on Route 66, so it was convenient for us.

It is now permanently closed.

We had no issues with our stay. Everything worked as was clean. They also have a hot breakfast - waffles - along with other goodies. Close to many restaurants in the area. They also have marked the rooms where celebrities have stayed through the years. All good.

For starters, either Google or Choice Hotels had the address wrong, so it took a while to find the right place. The hotel clerk was pleasant, but not wearing a mask. After unpacking into the first room, we had to move because the A/C, which was coated in sticky dirt, didn't work. The next room stank of smoke, because although it was a non-smoking room, there were people smoking just a few feet from our door. Fortunately, I have now used up all the points I had with Choice and this will be our last stay at any Choice property. They certainly have no aspirations of being especially clean during the pandemic. I don't expect a budget motel to have modern, attractive furnishings, but I did expect cleanliness and masks. One plus is that the room has an abundance of electrical outlets in convenient locations.

I love this bakery. In my opinion I love the cinnamon rolls with the vinilla frosting. The owner is super nice and not to expensive.
