Burrito Shack was okay, but nothing really set it apart. The food tasted pretty much like every other Chipotle-style burrito place out there — same flavors, same setup, and nothing especially memorable. It wasn’t bad, just very average. If you’re craving a quick burrito it’ll do the job, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it since it didn’t feel unique compared to similar spots.

BEST fish tacos anywhere in Arizona! The fish is fried up light and airy, but with a satisfying crunch, and big cod filets. Paradise is my favorite, with all of that coleslaw and pinapple salsa, these will melt in your mouth! Yummmm.

Delicious burritos

The food is always super consistent, and every employee that’s served me has had great customer service. The portion sizes are excellent and at roughly $2.50 for double protein it’s a great option for a quick high protein meal.

The budget pizza place a few doors down was packed(more than 3 and I ain't going in) and so my impatience got the best of me and I decided to go in and have a gander at their menu. I was pleasantly surprised by their menu prices. I ordered the School Teacher or something close to that name. It was a quesadilla with jalapenos and chicken and refried beans and some other stuff, which I ordered to go until I saw their special of the day, a $2 bottle of Corona? Impossible! I went to the counter, ordered a Corona, $2and some change for tax. Unbelievable! The quesadilla was excellent, the Corona, cold and I left more cheerful than I when entered! I highly recommend! Machu Pichu as they say in my world!!!

This was our first visit at Burrito Shack and we loved it! Food was super fresh and tasty. Ladies that prepared our food were super friendly and took the time to explain their menu and made suggestions. Watch out Chipotle!!

This place used to be one of my favorites since it first opened — great food, solid service, and I always chose it over Chipotle. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case.

On our last visit, they rolled out sneaky new charges. They no longer allow you to split proteins without charging you double for the more expensive option. What used to be a small customization is now treated like an upsell. At that point, you might as well just go to Chipotle — the prices there are the same or cheaper, and at least you know what you’re getting.

Even worse, the service has completely fallen off, especially on Sundays. It feels like no one cares or pays attention anymore. Maybe they’re blaming the off-season, but to customers, it just comes across as laziness and poor management.

It’s sad to see a place that started out strong go downhill so quickly. If this is the direction they’re heading, they’re going to lose the loyal customers who used to rave about them.
