Golden Corral

If we could rate this restaurant lower than 1 star, we would! My husband and i were dining and a couple came in with a dog! Our server moved us upon my husbands request. She said the manager thought it was a service dog but it was not. When we left my husband spoke with the manager saying he is 63 and never had seen a dog allowed in a restaurant. The manager said "the times they are a changing!". If we wanted to eat dinner with a dog, it would be home with our own dog! This was not a service dog but a puppy on a leash and both the owners were able to go thru the food line to get their plates without any aid from the dog, which they left tied under their table. We are animal lovers who have no problem with actual service dogs but today anyone can register their pet online.

Waitress Caroline was wonderful, food was great, restaurant was clean. Saturday night crowd and all! Dessert bar was immaculate. Steaks were decent, shrimp was just as fresh as it could have been.

Worst food I've had in years at a golden corral. I believe the ribs were cooked over a gasoline fire as they smelled and tasted like gas. My wife and I tried several dishes to find something tasty. No use everything was terrible. The price was outrageous as well. I know people can have a bad day but this was nuts. Cured me of golden corral food.

I usually like a good buffet where I can get what I want and however much of that that I want. I don't need to eat a lot to be happy at a buffet, it's just eating what I want, ya know? This was kind of a poor offering. I went around 11:00am and breakfast food was old and dried out so that wasn't really an option. The other food just looked like it had been sitting there for a very long time as well. The rolls were AMAZING as usual though. I waited for some fish to come out fresh and when it did, the breading on it wasn't cooked fully. The wait staff was very friendly and brought me waters and took away my plate consistently, but I was never introduced to a specific staff member and wasn't given a card with their name on it like everyone who sat down around me received. All in all, I like Golden Corral, but this one was slightly disappointing for lunch. :-(

Stay away! We stupidly stop here once a year to give it a chance, but not getting sucked in again. We like Golden Corral.... usually a good meal and a place you can trust when traveling. Not so here! Salad was fine... No steaks, no shrimp, no fried chicken. Had to ask for mashed potatoes that were cold. No brisket or ribs ... finally brought out sausage that was gone immediately. Smoked chicken was uneditably dry. Husband finally got some meatloaf. One cook when approached by a man said it was busy with balloon festival and they didn't expect a crowd...well... everyone else new about the festival. They should have been prepared. Not a cheap meal for such horrible service. Many fine places to eat in Havasu....try the new Indian food restaurant...it's great!
