Always had a great time here. Club and course was in its heyday several years ago. Arrogant HOA ruined it by dragging all into a messy years long legal thing because of improvements course owners wanted to make to keep course running and profitable. Hope you guys enjoy your overgrown and desolate backyards now instead of a nice course to view.

I live at The Refuge, and I absolutely love it here. I have read a lot of the reviews, and, knowing many of the staff personally, and knowing how hard they work despite continuous challenges, it's tough to see the negative comments. Not everything is perfect, but it's worth a try. I'm not giving up on them, and I hope you won't either. I've had some absolutely amazing experiences here.

We have been planning to visit the club for a couple weeks. Before we left, we checked the Yelp reviews to see what others were thinking about this resort. Surprised by a couple of recent one star reviews after so many 4 and 5 star reviews, we decided to go to see if it had really changed for the worst. We had lunch and stayed for happy hour. The staff was wonderful and the food was some of the best in Havasu. Restrooms were clean and well kept. The food was fresh and delicious. The beer was frosty cold, and my wife liked the house wine. Prices were reasonable, and the staff was personable and friendly. They recently had an ownership change, so the one stars reviews could have been some sour grapes. Go see for yourself and you decide. Cheers

Obviously no one has posted recently because they are gobsmacked at the piss poor quality from the last 4 months. Something happened and I mean bad because the entire kitchen staff quit, the food is in recognizable and the quality is in the toilet!!!! The bathrooms were messy with no toilet paper in 1 of the stalls and the trash cans look as if they haven't been emptied in a month. They are closed 2 days a week now and the dining room closes at 8 ‍‍‍. The place is unkept and is in dire need of a refresh. We live in the Refuge and now even houses are selling at record pace when just 3 months ago you would be hard pressed to find a home for sale. I am sure some arrogant rich guy thinks he knows best but honestly you would be better served by waiting it out in the In-n-Out line. Refuge golf owners - whatever you did fix it because it isn't working.

My husband and I went there for lunch the other day and it was amazing. Service is excellent and so is the food! Try the meatloaf probably the best we've ever had! We definitely will be back!

Course is in average shape, but does have nice views, and greens were quick. Staff was very unfriendly especially in pro shop, I have been treated better by airport staff. Gates were locked so appears like private course. Rentals club were not up to par, and staff is too lazy to clean them. I will make the drive to course in Parker next time.

Unusual track that presented a lot of bottle necks to slow play. The fairways were scalped to dirt in many areas. Greens were also scalped to dirt. No course marshall, ended up waiting waiting waiting. Only finished 10 holes before giving up due to frustration on a Friday. Would not recommend unless you are into pain.

Got to play here for first time with some On Sunday what a treat.course is well kept, being an Arnold Palmer design it is a challenge, but enjoyable.

We live in the Refuge and frequent the restaurant. The drinks are great, the views are awesome, and the food is very tasty! The service is really good and everyone is very personable. If you have never been here, give it a try. I dont think you will be disappointed!

My husband and I were visiting friends at Lake Havasu. They mentioned that they had made reservations at a golf club called Refuge. We went for dinner, and I have to tell you, from the customer service to the delicious cuisine, we had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was simply AMAZING! I had the prime rib with horseradish sauce, mushrooms, rosemary potatoes, and asparagus. Each and every bite was a pleasure to the senses. I highly recommend making a reservation if you are ever visiting Havasu City.

The new executive chef is outstanding! I highly recommend a visit to the club and experience the new menu and the creations of Chef Sacora. The restaurant also has the best view in Lake Havasu!

And excellent place for around of golf. The club has just recently as of February 2019, invested money in its maintenance and sprinkler system program the fairways and greens were in very good shape for midwinter. In the clubhouse bar is a great place to relax after around of golf the staff is pleasant and attentive

This is my one of my favs, to be honest not sure why I didn't do a 5 star review in the past. For the past four days I have been trying to get a Tee time. I actually left 4 voicemails. No response. I actually stopped by a local establishment when I got into town last night and was chatting about the course . These other guys said tht the corse was full but they called yesterday and was able to get a Tee time because they were getting several cancelations. Due to the winds that have had. So I decided to call. Finally got ahold of someone. On chatting with him he said they were booked but the first available tee time was 3:00. I said great I will chat with my buddy and get back to you. I mentioned I had left several voicemails and asked why I didn't get a call back. Quote he said we are a very busy golf course now having a hundred and something people play. So if we don't call you back it's because we don't have an opening. Well Sir. I play this course a couple times a year and bring friends and family. That was a shitty response and horrible customer service. This conversation definitely bummed me out in frustration one because your booked and clearly had openings. Two the response was extremely in professional. Love the course and epic bloody Mary's. But you just killed it Sir!!!

The best thing I can say is they rent very good golf clubs for those who travel without their own. We played in January, so this reviewer did not see the course at it's best I'm sure. Go play. See for your self. What do you have to lose?

A beautiful private golf course, 72 holes. We weren't able to play but we checked out the grounds, the clubhouse, restaurant and the pool area. It's a beautiful place to have an event. I WOULD go back.
