Where do I even begin?
As a foodie, I’ll admit I can be a bit critical—but I also know great food when I taste it. We love taking out-of-town guests somewhere memorable on the water, so we chose Turtle Bar & Grill to show off their recent remodel, which really is beautiful.

Turtle Beach Bar offers a pleasant lakeside setting with good service and a 100% open air beach front view of Thompson Bay. The patio seating provides great views of the lake and pool, along with cozy seating areas nestled in palm trees and overhead misters to keep it cool. The carne asada street tacos and Nauti salad with honey mustard were highlights, while guests also enjoyed margaritas, Pina Coladas, and fried Calamari—best with extra cocktail sauce. The bar serves tasty mixed drinks, with a happy hour from 3-5 pm featuring $4 well drinks and $5 mini apps.
While some experienced slow service and plastic cups for cocktails, others praised the bartenders for their attentiveness. The overall experience is enjoyable with great views of the water and fun people watching. It is a good spot for a fun hangout with music and decent food, despite occasional service hiccups.
