Macayo's Mexican Food

Went to the Goodyear location on a Tuesday. I don’t know when they changed the way they make their crispy fried tacos but we got tacos in a pre-deepfried shell with soupy shredded beef with tomatoes and onion in the beef. Worst food I’ve had there.

We love any macayos that Jayme is at. She is always so pleasant doesn't matter if she's serving or a manager she's always amazing. She's the reason so many regulars still go there. Thank you Jayme for caring about the guest first.

Very disappointed in Macayo's giving into shoving their handheld computer in your face- standing there, expecting you to pay the bill, calculate your tip(did I say standing there,hovering over you) flat out rude. So much for relaxing with the family and enjoying a good meal.........we use to frequent Macayo's Goodyear 6-8 a month, having second thoughts of going back. We don't feel like a valued patron.

Too many times I've been disappointed & now I won't go back!! Tonight the meal wasn't good at all. The waitress brought out a bean dip that was not what we asked for. They wouldn't take it back & make it right & then we had to pay for it. When we first got there, no one came to the counter to seat us. everyone stands around talking & not working. The doors & windows were so dirty it makes me wonder how dirty the kitchen is! Outside trash overflowing & an employee was just standing there on a personal call. Manager didn't even seem concerned when I told her my concerns.

Macayos has a good happy hour and great margaritas. The wait was very long at this location due to a staffing shortage. If anyone from the restaurant reads this, PLEASE clean your front doors and windows. It's an indicator to
potential patrons that the rest of your restaurant may not be clean either.

The Restaurant was half empty and we were asked to wait 10 minutes. The waitress and host seemed unhappy that we were there. It was our first time here and we experienced a bad customer service. We will not be coming back.

food had zero flavor. nothing was spicy. or seasoned for that matter. sad we came all the way from Payson for it to be so bad

I got the chili Chile Relleno Trio 18.99, all of the flavor of the food, including the refried beans were absolutely phenomenal. However, the chilies were barely cooked, still so hard and undercooked that I had to use a steak knife to cut them. I realize it was Sunday afternoon and only a few customers in the restaurant, but I only saw one waitress and two managers. Our waitress was super friendly and super helpful but she would go somewhere for 15 to 20 minutes each time. The manager helped with our food and refills on sodas, chips and salsa. Don’t let the survey sway you, Macayo’s is an awesome group of restaurants and their food is second to none. I believe this restaurant since it is new, is just going through growing pains and it will be five star soon.
