Rice Garden-Inside Bashas

My family and I stopped by last Saturday afternoon 4/26 at around 3~4 pm to get some dinner. We’ve gotten food from here many times before and the food has always been great.

We get the usual rice, noodles, orange chicken and bbq pork. My son is the only one that eats the pork and has never had any complaints. The rest of us ate our food as soon as we got home and he ate his after coming home from work around 11pm. We were awoken very early in the morning like 3am and he was throwing up nonstop.

It turns out my wife snuck a couple of bites of the pork that night and she got sick as well. I can confidently say they got food poisoning from the pork because the rest of us that didn’t try it didn’t get sick at all.

The restaurant is closed on Sundays so the earliest day I could go and inform the staff of the incident was Monday afternoon. I go and tell the lady who usually is there and she grabs a plate and starts asking me what food I want, I say no thank you. She then asks me for the container or the receipt and if I don’t have that then they can’t give me a refund. She then goes to call an older guy from the back and I repeat to him what happened.

He told me the same thing about the receipt/ container and he couldn’t give me a refund without those things, how people have tried to get free food from them in the past that way. They couldn’t care less that my wife and son got food poisoning from their food, just worried that I was looking to get a free meal. Very frustrating that that was their main focus, keep in mind they didn’t even bother saying sorry or anything.

Overall terrible experience and awful customer service, safe to say we won’t be going back ever again.

Don’t let the location fool you. The food and price are on point. Lemon chicken is killer, you’re in and out less than a minute

I've dashed here twice so far and the orange chicken gotta be one of the best I've ever had. It's perfectly crispy and the sauce isn't too strong but still has a lot of flavor. Also great portion sizes!

The young man who works hooks you up and bro so flipping delicious and more than worth the 45 minute drive . The old lady is so skimpy. Not worth the drive.

But the rice is to die for as well as the noodles and BBQ chicken!!!! So bomb I love everything on the limited menu just wish it was closer!!!! But delicious food is always worth it. And customer service is also worth it. I always tip the dude 10 or 15 bucks is awesome!!!!! Just wish he worked all the time!!!!! Hahaha I'm fat!!!!!

Best dang orange chicken ever, hands down my new go too for movie nights or a quick bite on door dash. The prices are way low and the quality and portions of the food is amazing lol never thought I’d care to write a review about it but I’m just so shocked a place like this doesn’t just price gouge an water there taste down like panda or literally everywhere else. Thank you rice garden, you the real MVP <3

P.s I couldn’t dis or remark to any other bad reviews but they’d mostly complain about temperature on a carry out order lol… get over yourselfs so petty. And as for taste, it’s not a 5 star diner but it blows panda and anyone else not built into a 4 seasons out of the water. Let’s be honest and not children yeah :)

I'm originally from California and I have not been able to find a good BBQ pork until now. The food is very good as the service. I truly recommend this place over panda express or any other fast food Chinese.

This place has a little corner inside Bashas' Grocery Store. I love Chinese BBQ pork, and seeing that they make this, I just had to give it a try. I love their rice noodles and broccoli beef. Another great place for a quick Chinese meal. No matter who is behind the counter, I have always had friendly service.

We like this place, and have been coming here for years. The Lo Mein is much better than Panda. Hubby gets half/half, with orange chicken and/or lemon chicken. I get the same, but with bbq pork and chicken. The food here is good and flavorful. Albeit, the fried rice can be quite bland at times. The older gentleman is quite generous with the portions, and pleasant. The younger guy seems to not want to be there, and seems irritated. The food is always consistent though.

I've been eating here off an on for a couple of years and the food never disappoints. One of the only Chinese food places that don't make their orange chicken spicy. I've only order through door dash, so I'm not sure of the atmosphere. But the portion sizes and prices are great.

Definitely a hidden gem the only place that’s I know of that supports the traditional takeout atmosphere and has BBQ PORK it’s definitely a must stop when I’m in that side of town and the staff is very friendly and helpful I highly

The foods good but the service is absolutely terrible. I was served by an old Asian woman and she was so rude for no reason. Some family put there cart by this business and she was like move it u can't put it there but they were literally about to put there kid in the seat like what? And then the father was like oh I'm using it and she rolled her eyes and said something in a different language like how rude bro and then she turned to me and was like what do u want. If she doesn't wanna deal with people she should stay in the back and then at the end she didn't give us no utensils or sauces so my mom asked for some and she did it with an attitude and didn't even give us the amount we asked for we ask for 2 chop sticks, not even a lot but she just gave us 1.

Delivery via Door Dash. Ordered small portions of orange chicken, BBQ pork, fried rice, 2 rangoons and 2 spring rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. Small sizes are perfect for a dinner for one, or lunch or a snack for 2. Order bigger for the crew.
