Nachos in a small bowl $18 + $6 to add a bit of cubed chicken. Nacho cheese sauce in one corner in the bottom of the bowl, small amount of tomatoes, guacamole. Worst nachos I've ever had. Basically paid $24 for a bowl of chips.

We visited the Wigwam Bar on a Friday evening to celebrate a 40th birthday, and the experience was extremely disappointing. While the resort was very busy due to multiple wedding parties, all of us were genuinely shocked by the number of service failures that occurred and how poorly they were handled.
From the start, service was unacceptably slow. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive, and our server repeatedly emphasized how overwhelmed the kitchen and bar were. At one point, a member of our group went directly to the bar and received their drinks well before others at our table, despite those drinks having been ordered at the table at least 15 minutes earlier.
When we attempted to order tacos, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. We agreed, only for the server to return 20 minutes later and explain that the kitchen was backed up and he had not placed the order at all, then asked if we wanted to order at that point.
During service, our server openly reprimanded a kitchen food runner in front of our table, which was uncomfortable and highly unprofessional. We also ordered a tequila old fashioned that was clearly made with bourbon. When we sent it back, the bar manager, Amanda, came to the table and was argumentative, insisting it was an añejo tequila and that the darker color was intentional. She stated she personally created the drink to mimic a bourbon old fashioned, explained it was an Arizona based tequila, and even said she tasted it herself. Despite this defense, the drink was not tequila. After further discussion with our server, a replacement drink was made that was clearly tequila. None of us had ever experienced a situation where a returned drink was defended so aggressively, and we were honestly taken aback.
To make matters worse, the server asked us to let him know when we were ready for our tickets because he did not want to be bombarded by our group, which made us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying guests. We were calm, patient, and relaxed throughout the evening, yet it felt as though being attentive to the service we were paying for was treated as unreasonable. I am sorry that expecting basic service came across as an inconvenience.
Later, when part of our group briefly stood up to take photos, staff cleared the entire table even though several people were not finished eating.
Overall, the service was disorganized, slow, and at times rude. We are not the type to complain, and we have never experienced this level of rudeness from a restaurant before. While we understand the challenges of a busy night, the volume of issues and the manner in which they were handled were unacceptable. This was especially unfortunate because the bar itself has a great atmosphere and a beautiful outdoor patio. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we will not be returning.

I was in town this past weekend and decided to catch up with an old friend since I was staying at this resort. The bartenders were very friendly and super knowledgeable on the menu. I was obsessed with the Peppermintini - it was my drink of the weekend for sure. The carne asada fries were great and very generous on the meat.

Better than expected, most hotel food is meh. Sonoran Caesar Salad was delicious, definitely non-traditional, avocado dressing, cotija cheese, escabeche(onions, jalapeño, carrots) and corn nuts. Nachos were also good, huge mountain of nachos, queso and guacamole were good, homemade chips. Pizzookie was also really good, coffee flavored cookie, with Ibarra Chocolate Sauce and ice cream. Overall good experience.

Food was very good. It did take a very long time to reactive though.. the service was good once we finally got some. The food was very good and worth the wait.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner…..always great food and atmosphere at the Wigwam Bar near the pool.
We went to the Ballroom for Mother's Day Brunch yesterday. Very disappointing. They advertise a seafood section. I called a week before to ask what all they had in the seafood section and was told it was a seafood tower with crab legs and a variety of seafood. All they had was shrimp cocktail. It was good but no other selections. The omelets were overcooked. Not a great selection of food at all. For $99 per person plus an administration fee and service fee it ended up being $140 per person. The mother's received a complimentary mimosa. Won't be back. Go to Scottsdale. They have some excellent brunches for less than that.
Very friendly and attentive server! The food was delicious! The burger had good flavor in every bite. The nachos were tasty but overpriced for the amount of carne asada and toppings on them. Very cozy atmosphere with string lighting outside.

Such a great spot! Chicken nachos were delicious, drinks were also great. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly. And of course they were great to the pups, brought them bones and a bowl of water and we all had a great time.
We want to express our gratitude to our waitress Delilah. We have known her for several years and she has been doing a great job as a hostess and now as a waitress. She is a very friendly, smiling, and pleasant person to be around. She takes excellent care of her customers. Gary and Natalya
Service was incredibly friendly and accommodating! Food left a lot to be desired. We had the tacos which were uninspired and overcooked. They were dry and bland. We also had the broccoli salad which had a very weird combo of spicy salty nuts and figs - I would say that one was inspired but the flavor combos don’t work.
The place has a ton of potential if they got serious about the menu.

Sorry folks. Did a staycation but seems it hasn't changed much. Still the same old Wigwam eats. Your best bet is exploring the REAL Westside of real hospitality foods n folks. From good restaurants of The People in the area. Big portions n great tasting. For true Mexican breakf or lunch Zamoras in the heart of old town Avondale. Highly recommend. Want true Mexican pastry walk down to the bakery there. Want a great tasting coffee or pick up fresh loafs of bread coldwater cafe is great also family owned from true hometowners. You craving true country food. Head to old town Buckeye, Sheep Camp where REAL Cowboys hangout. If you get there early you'll see them. If your craving a great ethnic Italian Argentinos for lunch down the rd is amazing n humbling family business. If your craving burgers REAL beef, Arlington next door outside seating picnic bench stlye and your able to purchase steaks there from there butcher shop. If your craving big Mexican style REAL large burritos n dishes than corner of Miller n Monroe in old town Buckeye you'll see wild west cowboy steak house. Not fancy inside, 70s decor, but great Real food Highly recommend chorizo burrito or plate large portions. N they deep-fry there own tortilla chips. Want real baked Mexican pastries. They also have Fiesta bakery down the rd. There tamales are #1 if they have some usually run out by 10am. If your craving real baked donut shop. On waston n Yuma next door to subway "Fresh Donuts". Highly recommend ham, jalapeños croissants. But sell out sometimes by 9am. This is truly what n makes Avondale n Buckeye. Real genuine hospitality from owners that care. Wigwam for us out here is just a golf n spa place. Not a eatery. Nothing more. Kinda sad for beinging such a fancy place but it is what it is. O almost forgot. If u want a bar atmosphere next door the local burger joint is the best there. Always supporting small business owners, why? Cause there real!!
