Awesome place. Always loved the dinners here. Stopped by for lunch and found the best deal in town. A huge bowl of spaghetti w meatballs for $5. They didn't skimp on the portions or the quality. I highly recommend coming here.
Excellent food and very good service. My wuf ordered the lasagne and I had the pescadora SUD. Delicious and generous portions. The bread with oil, herbs, and balsamic vinegar was a great start to our meal. Not great to be stuffed into a corner by the entrance when there were a lot of open tables available and the reservation system seemed inaccurate by saying there weren’t any tables available between 4:40 and 6:00 on a Tuesday evening. All in all a good experience and we will return.

Went to Alessia’s for the first time with my husband and friends for a birthday. After reading good reviews and on upon recommendations from others, I was excited. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The wine list was extensive. This is where the good points of the review end.
On to the food… Obviously the pasta was not fresh and definitely from a box. Three of us ordered the special, which was chicken marsala that evening, and we were all disappointed. Over cooked boxed pasta and what HAD to be Marsala sauce from a bag was served with chunks of chicken, very little mushrooms and unappetizing, undercooked onions. The amount of salt that was in this dish lends to my suspicion of a commercial, premade sauce. All of us were in agreement. Will I go back? Yes, I probably will give it another chance since this was my first time but I will definitely NOT be ordering their Chicken Marsala. The tiramisu for dessert was good, but nothing to write home about and their house salad is literally, “meh”. The Caesar Salad that my husband ordered was marginally better.

This has got to be the worst Italian food ever!! I'm from Buffalo NY and Italian, the bread tasted old, the ravioli tasted like it was frozen and reheated. They put a blob of tomato mash on top of the salad with nothing else!! This place is way over priced, I will never go back

Our recent visit to Alessia's Ristorante was a culinary journey with both highs and lows. Three out of the four of us enjoyed very good Italian dishes that showcased the kitchen's skill and attention to detail. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the gelatos we had next door were a delightful end to the meal.
The risotto was a monumental disappointment. The following is long because of the anticipation this customer had for a well prepared risotto. It was not prepared according to any traditional mantecatura (or simply "tura") method. Instead, it was just rice, and not even arborio (or any other short grained rice cooked tura style), with some very good seafood—mussels, calamari, clams, and small pieces of fish. As connoisseurs of risotto, we can confidently say that this was not risotto. The texture and consistency were all wrong: it lacked the creamy, cohesive quality that defines a true tura based risotto. Considering that this kitchen cooks terrific Italian food and obviously knows better, it felt like a culinary ambush.
To prattle on (though with an aim): That the risotto was one of the costliest items on the menu, the disappointment was palpable. If a dish is to be called risotto, it should meet the standards of classic Italian preparation. OK, enough already: the dish fell more than short; and, if you've read this far, you also have culinary sensibilities and bless you.
Overall, while the majority of our meal was enjoyable, the risotto was a glaring misstep that the restaurant should address. We hope they reconsider serving it under the name "rice with seafood", and not "risotto," unless it truly meets traditional standards. Would I go back? Yes. With some questions about "Risotto" preparation.
We have come few times to this restaurant, but food today was not good. Calamari was over cooked and chewy, spinach ravioli was at room temperature cold. We were very disappointed and there wss no apologies.

The service was good, atmosphere was very NYesq, but the food was just “alright” for being at an elevated price point. As someone with an Italian background, it left something to be desired.
