Everyone here is always very friendly . I’ve been coming here for years . & after today I will not be returning . We were sat at a booth near the bar . Looked over to see a cockroach crawling on the bar counter. We informed the manager and he walked over smashed it and then continued working . If you see one out in the lobby I can not imagine what the back looks like .

Very disappointed, we were sat immediately, our drink order was taken and we were waiting for 1 more person. We waited 25 minutes for our drinks which was soda. The drinks were brought and the waitress didn’t ask the other party what she wanted. Just dropped our drinks off and hustled away. Then waited another 20 minutes for our order to be taken. I spoke up and asked for the other drink. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers they only brought out 2/3. When we got the 3rd appetizer it was in a to go box and ice cold. We then waited another 20 for minutes for our food. The steak was way over cooked and my broccoli well I can tell you I would not have fed that to my dog. I’m so darn disappointed as we love going to this Applebees. After spending 150 dollars it’s so sad!

The worst place ever to eat service was terrible. Wait it 40 minutes to get a beer. Wait in an hour and a 1/2 to get food. And it was still messed up no one else in the restaurant, but 4 other people Sunday afternoon. It was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.. This place definitely needs new management.

I had lunch there a couple of times lately. I sat at the bar both times. Excellent bartender and great service. The burgers were pretty good too

We were there at 3pm & the restaurant was almost empty. The food was predictable. The kitchen was fast but service was not great. We were ignored throughout the meal & waited 15 minutes after finishing just to get our bill. When drinks were dropped off, Serena just dropped them as she ran by. We won't be back.

I frequently go to Applebee’s because of their amazing prices. The food is good, the service is just as good. I recommend this place to anybody.
We waited 45 minutes to get our meal . I complained and got a very grumpy hostess and waitress who took our order . The tomato basil soup and sandwich was unexceptional. The soup tasted more like spaghetti sauce and my sandwich was on white bread . The onion rings were good but delivered at least 15 minutes before our meal came . So sorry Applebees I will not be back.

I usually never have a bad comment for Applebees but today I tried the churro smores and I have to say the worst desert I have had from a restaurant. Other then the desert the food is great I personally love the spinach dip, and the customer service is always top notch defanitly recommend going to this good food spot, but don't expect much from their desert line Update after 8 years I'm updating still not a fan of their desert line but as of January 2025 they have shrunk their portion sizes but kept the same price, I have been getting their southwest chicken bowl for a few months now once a week and the bowl size was cut in half no exaggeration, I wasn't impressed but was told they have changed the bowl size for the meal as well as a few other meals

I don't have any pictures of my plate which is I should have took but honestly the service was good and they were very kind especially for a New Year's Eve day they were very attentive and professional.
The food here is not that great. Actually, it's really disappointing. You're better off spending your money somewhere else. Every time I have eaten here, I've been disappointed. This time, I had their advertised big chicken sandwich. The chicken was not cooked all the way and was pink in the middle. I didn't send it back because I lost my appetite to eat anything else.
After reading the canned Applebee's corporate response, I'm changing my review. They want me and everyone else who complains to copy and paste our reply to another link so that the Mesa restaurant gets it? It's obvious that corporate could care less. Forget it, Applebee's. I will not patronize your establishment again.
