I had lunch there a couple of times lately. I sat at the bar both times. Excellent bartender and great service. The burgers were pretty good too

We were there at 3pm & the restaurant was almost empty. The food was predictable. The kitchen was fast but service was not great. We were ignored throughout the meal & waited 15 minutes after finishing just to get our bill. When drinks were dropped off, Serena just dropped them as she ran by. We won't be back.

We waited 45 minutes to get our meal . I complained and got a very grumpy hostess and waitress who took our order . The tomato basil soup and sandwich was unexceptional. The soup tasted more like spaghetti sauce and my sandwich was on white bread . The onion rings were good but delivered at least 15 minutes before our meal came . So sorry Applebees I will not be back.

I usually never have a bad comment for Applebees but today I tried the churro smores and I have to say the worst desert I have had from a restaurant. Other then the desert the food is great I personally love the spinach dip, and the customer service is always top notch defanitly recommend going to this good food spot, but don't expect much from their desert line Update after 8 years I'm updating still not a fan of their desert line but as of January 2025 they have shrunk their portion sizes but kept the same price, I have been getting their southwest chicken bowl for a few months now once a week and the bowl size was cut in half no exaggeration, I wasn't impressed but was told they have changed the bowl size for the meal as well as a few other meals

I don't have any pictures of my plate which is I should have took but honestly the service was good and they were very kind especially for a New Year's Eve day they were very attentive and professional.
The food here is not that great. Actually, it's really disappointing. You're better off spending your money somewhere else. Every time I have eaten here, I've been disappointed. This time, I had their advertised big chicken sandwich. The chicken was not cooked all the way and was pink in the middle. I didn't send it back because I lost my appetite to eat anything else.
After reading the canned Applebee's corporate response, I'm changing my review. They want me and everyone else who complains to copy and paste our reply to another link so that the Mesa restaurant gets it? It's obvious that corporate could care less. Forget it, Applebee's. I will not patronize your establishment again.

Kid-friendliness: I will say I was very surprised that they let a child sit at the bar. Didn't think that was permitted
Only one server so kind of slow. Burger was a bit overcooked. ( I was asked specifically if I wanted pink or not). Fries came after I was almost done with the burger.
Service is outstanding with Lorri! She is on the ball with my margaritas. I have the steak and it was cooked too perfection. I think I found my new favorite dinner spot!!

My fiance and I went to this location for lunch and I gotta tell you the bartender/waitress Ashley was terrible. First thing was well she served us the wrong food, next thing is we never got a check up, we we're offered the the correct plate towards the end but by then I shared my food with my fiance and were both full. My piece advice is tell your server to start writing notes on the order.
