I can vividly remember one of my first visits to an Applebee’s way back in the 1980s in Northern Virginia’s town of Falls Church! At the time, there were not a lot of really, really good big box or conglomerate restaurants packing the eating industry – yet Applebee’s was and to some extent in such a competitive world is holding its own today… I’m glad to say, especially for nostalgic purposes. It was one of the first to actually create a neighborhood pub feel to it. I’ve been somewhat fond of this American-style, casual dining establishment over the years. With its overall consistency, reliability and dependability, despite the various iterations corporate has demanded of them! This outfit has gone through the gamut of offerings throughout the years, and their recent meal renderings are not much different in their marketing for one’s attraction. But down deep, people keep Applebee’s alive, because we are content with its overall expectations. We know what we want, and we can pretty much expect what we want when visiting. They are no Ruth Christ’s or Flemming’s, but then again, we don’t expect them to be. Applebee’s your comfort food with a twist. This is one of the few conglomerates operating restaurants that can actually provide 1) amazing service: 4.0 , 2) excellent attention to detail especially in hospitality: 3.5 , 3) cleanliness, hygiene and comfort in their décor, amenities and lavatories: 3.5 , 4) an abundant and/or varied food and/or product menu: 4.0 , 5) consistently appetizing offerings: 3.5 , 6) a sincere customer service: 3.5 , 7) unique, innovative or specialized menus: 4.0 , 8) value and price of meals: 3.5 , and most of all, 9) the inert desire of one wanting to return, again and again for the experience gained: 4.0 . These are some if not most of what my basic requirements are when visiting one of these establishments each time. My wife and I, although not professional reviewers, are connoisseurs of excellent foods whether a fine upscale cuisine, middle of the road common eats, or a low-end fast-food joint. In this way, I have developed a to-the-point method for determining the personal worthiness of each establishment visited as noted in my opening. Simplified, each requisite noted for the establishment visited best scored by my highest score offered. Applebee’s scores a 3.72 of a potential 5.0 – well above average. The meals overall whether getting Ultimate Trio, a Choose 3 appetizers, a 2 for $25 or their skillets, chicken, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, burgers, salads, sides, desserts and/or drinks – there’s something for everyone.

First time I came here we had a cockroach crawling on our table. overlooking that the server we had was amazing and food was good. Last night was more of the issue. Last night me and my husband doordashed from here. $50 for the 2 for 23 deal for starters. got the food after waiting for them to cook it for an hour. we received 4 onion rings for a side. 4 mozzarella sticks for an appetizer with no marinara. he got the grilled cheese burger with the sauce and bacon and pepper jack. he didn’t get bacon or sauce and the sandwich was drier than my foot. meat looked so overcooked it could be considered a weapon. my four cheese honey pepper mac was basically Alfredo with bacon and no honey sauce. food was terribly cold so we tried calling them today to complain and they said the kitchen manager was busy and to call back. heard our voice and left us on hold for an hour. terrible service and terrible delivery. my grandma can cook better and she’s dead. this place needs to be shut down 😡

Went here tonight. Honestly not sure how they are open. Probably the best service was at the bar. Never seen a host with less enthusiasm or hustle. Lobby full of people and empty dirty tables. A waitress came out and started seating us, words were exchanged with the hostess. Only like 3 waiters in the whole place. Ours worker her toosh off. Food was mediocre at best. Gave an extra star because kids meals had a good selection, but beware they tried to charge us for what should be included.
Won't be going back ever again. Won't be surprised if they end up closing. Definitely don't waste your money. McDonald's probably would have tasted better and that's a shocking statement to me.

We just had the worst food and service we’ve ever had in a restaurant. Normally we are very happy with Applebees. Today we were not. Ashton is not a good bartender. Slow, doesn’t watch his bar. Doesn’t wipe down quickly after guest leave. Makes excuses and generally, doesn’t give good customer service. My fry’s were old, my burger bun was hard, vegetables were not fresh. My wife’s triple dipper…Everything was overcooked. We will be skipping this place. Maybe BJ’s or Chili’s from no on.

Let's start off by ordering drinks. My first date and I decided to order tea. Thinking it was a good idea. It came out tasting, not the way we wanted nor the way we expected. We politely asked for a different drinks. Our waiter tried to persist us three different times into keeping the drinks.I had finally said my date would like a different drink.I'll keep mine, which was very distasteful.Even after she brought extra syrup. We order our appetizer spinach, artichoke and dip just for the dip to be overcooked way too hot, burnt on the outside and sucked in from being overcooked. Apparently the waiter had it out for my date because when she got her food.. yet again, you could tell that it was overdone.The outside of the chicken was burnt black.Just enough to be overdone, the cheese was overmelted, and it could not be more obvious. As for my chicken and shrimp, the chicken barely came out. Okay. We left olive garden to go to that.We definitely regret our decision. As far as the atmosphere, I don't think it's quite appropriate to be blaring.Snoop dogg in the background while people are trying to eat their dinner, I did not realize we were walking into a club. I purposely did not leave a tip because taking my date out for the first time.This isn't the atmosphere.I would want to go to nor the customer service or the attitude. Granted, my date had an attitude.But so did the waiter. After the drinks, we tried leaving the attitude at the door apparently your waiters like to continue being petty. That is why I did not leave a tip and please forward that to her. Highly disappointed in every aspect.

I feel obligated to leave a warning for anyone with severe food allergies. I've never had any issues with Applebee's before, but this location clearly is not taking proper precautions around allergies.
I alerted the waitress to my nut allergy and was brought out a salad with nuts. She noticed it as she was setting it down so got it 'remade.' It came back out and I dug around to make sure they really did remake it, and there were still nuts underneath the other toppings.
As this is a chain restaurant, I don't know who will even see this review at all but I'd hope that A) a manager see this and takes it seriously, retrains staff, and ENSURES that proper precautions are taken; and B) given that I will not be returning to this location to find out whether or not they improve, anyone, whether an adult with allergies or a parent with littles who have allergies, sees this and makes a safer choice for their family. This is a serious health and safety issue and I have never been to a restaurant where I felt such blatant disregard for the safety not only of myself but anyone who has these allergies. It is not hard to take proper precautions and it can be life or death for any adult or child who walks through your doors.

Dingy, unfriendly, and thats just the start. Walked to a 15 minute wait time, not unusual untill I realized the people already seated hadn't been served. It wasnt untill I smelled the burning food and watched people waiting before us begin to leave that I decided to find another location. Higley and brown, 5 minutes away and 10 times better.

I wanted to treat myself to a small lunch and heard about the $14.99 three appetizer meal and wanted to try it. The restaurant was clean, lively wasn't too many people there, but it wasn't empty either and the service was absolutely perfect. Sonya was my server and was so attentive, though, the side that I was sitting on was busy.I didn't have to asked her for pretty much nothing. She kept the eye on my drink. She gave me suggestions on things to pick for my little appetizer combo platter, and when the food came out, it was so good. I had side caesar.l salad, pretzel breadsticks, honey barbecue chicken and tempura chicken tacos. Everything was so good and I was drinking a peach.Iced tea refreshing and delicious. The whole meal was under 25 bucks. It's not close to me. It's like almost 45 minutes away, but it was absolutely worth it because I wanted to go to the half price bookstore in the same shopping center. So it worked out perfectly. I will definitely be going back.

This location is extremely short staffed. Arrived a little bit before 3pm. Waited a bit to be seated. Was seated across from bar. Bartender was quick with taking our orders and was attentive to my water. I was really impressed considering how full the bar was. It had more or neighborhood bar atmosphere than a restaurant. The bartender, was running his legs off doing double duty as waiter/server and bartender , the food was good.
