Long story short, online order didn’t go through. Owner called me as soon as he found out and sent me a $50 gift certificate. I was visiting relatives so I gave it to my cousin to use, not sure when I’ll be back. When he finally used it he said the food was very good. And you can’t beat the customer service! Next time I am in Mesa I will be having me some JL BBQ!

This place is amazing, so happy to have found it. Food & service top notch, dining room simply furnished & comfortable. We ordered combo plates, I had the ribs & pork belly with mac/cheese & my son had smoked sausage, brisket & potato salad. We were both very happy with our choices & we will be back real soon to try more.

It was an online order for carry-out. Piece of advice, call them to confirm they've received your order. We had ribs, potato salad, pulled pork, sausage, rib tips, brisket and Mac N Cheese. Super delicious ? all of it.

Yesss ma’am!! Met ms. D at the Mesa location, let me tell you I will come back for her service alone!! she hooked it up!! I got referred to JL after telling my god mother I can’t find good soul food like back home in oakland in Arizona.. the Meat was amazing.. didn’t even need the sauce you can taste the smoke and the rub was soo good on the ribs/rib tips/brisket, the peach cobbler was warm and soft yummm. Very happy I came and found a solid bbq spot!! Thank you guys !
