Backyard Taco - Mesa East

We absolutely love Backyard Taco on Signal Butte. The staff is friendly. The place is clean with lots of seating. We have been coming here since they opened. We go at least once a week. We have our favorite order but have tried many items on the menu and all have been so good. The food has lots of flavor. We have never had to wait long for our order. The beef burrito, rice and beans are the best. We love how everything is fresh and prepared where you can watch.

Great good 👍🏼 Friendly staff, nicely prepared and short wait time. They did get my order wrong, I ordered a meal with rice/beans and never received rice/beans but tacos were delicious and made up for it.

I placed an online order for Backyard Taco and got there around 5:20 to pick it up. I went through the drive thru line, and when I got to the window, the guy told me it would be about three more minutes and asked if I could pull around to the front doors. I said sure, no problem.

I waited out front until about 5:50 and no one ever came out. I have dash cam footage that shows exactly how long I was sitting there. After waiting almost 30 minutes, I went back through the drive thru and let them know I had been told to pull around and was still waiting. He said that was his bad and finally handed me my food.

My order was simple, a birria quesadilla, a bean quesadilla, and a lemonade. The bean quesadilla was cold by that point, and the birria quesadilla was also cold and really soggy.
I have been going to the original Backyard Taco for many years and always had good experiences. This Signal Butte location is closer to my house now, but I will not be coming back. The quality has gone downhill over the last few years and it is not what it used to be.

I came with my family about a week ago. The service wasn't awesome. It was more of just taking your order and onto the best person. It was absolutely FREEZING in here. My entire family and I decided to get it to go because of how cold it was. My dad's food was made incorrectly and he had to add stuff at home to make it better. Everyone else's food was nothing special. I got a quesadilla and I could have easily made one better myself. We won't be returning.

The tacos had no flavor and the rice was dry. Also way to expensive for what was purchased. The damn chicken tacos from Del Taco have way more flavor than yours and they put cheese on them.

Food was excellent. Owner greets you at the door. Very friendly atmosphere. Like that they give back to the community too simply by taking a photo of your food using the QR code posted on every table.

Ive been to this location time and time again. I worked a 16 hr day and stopped in last min for some quick food that I can usually rely on.

I ordered a little after 930. I understand it was 30 min till closing but I was just surprised.
There was nothing at the salsa bar. Someone was cleaning it when I walked in. I went to wash my hands and I was told I wasnt allowed to enter the restroom because it was being cleaned.
I cant imagine they all leave at closing.

Its ok, my small amount of business wont effect them much at all but I wont be back.

First and foremost I want to thank Backyard Taco, they catered for my housewarming party, and the food was hot and delicious. The staff was friendly. I couldn’t have made a better choice, I highly recommend Backyard Taco! 10/10 5 stars!! ⭐️

I'm not mad, just, disappointed. Great service but the food left a lot to be desired. The rice is ok, the refund beans taste like they opened a can of Rosarita and microwaved then. The tacos fell apart as soon as I picked them up, the carne asada was lukewarm and had no flavor.

Updated: after being asked to try them again.
I got 2 buttons and a quesidilla.
Take a loom at my pictures the burrito was ripped from end to end. Looks like someone ate my food. Totally discusting. Not to mention no email back from corporate who asked me to eali them before.

20 minutes in drive through being the only car getting 2 burritos and a Quesadilla. Unreal. The food was wrong, wrong salsa.
Cold food. Onions in my kids food whonis allergic. Also charged me for beans and rice I didn't order. Terrible experience.
I'm disappointed being a long-time Backyard taco fan.
