Boca Taqueria NE Mesa

I ordered takeout tonight from Boca Taqueria, and my experience was incredibly disappointing. When I got home and took a bite of my taco, I was shocked to find a piece of metal embedded in my food. It was alarming and utterly unacceptable. After that unsettling discovery, I felt compelled to toss the meal without finishing it, as I was speechless and concerned about the potential dangers of consuming something like that.

This is definitely Not a Taqueria. The least authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. Ordered street tacos got something that you would get at a buffet. Great people, horrible food. Salsa was right out of a can. Not trying to hurt the business and I’m sure many would find it ok but just awful.

1 Taco & 1 enchilada. 45 minutes. WTH Boca? The food is ok, but it’s not so good that I’m going to waste my night waiting in line to order and then wait 45 minutes for a taco. I’m done.

We love this place, we go 3-4 times a week. We have gone there since it opened.
We are treated like family and enjoy the patrons that we have gotten to know.
I get their house margarita, very satisfying. My wife gets a chicken taco, no tortilla. I bounce around with what I get.
Can’t get our son’s family nor my wife’s family to go, so we go other places with them and keep this to ourselves.

We decided to try this restaurant for the very first time and what a huge disappointment! I ordered the fajitas and the food wasn’t even hot enough. I ordered the steak fajitas and you can tell the food wasn’t made fresh. From other restaurants we have tried, they bring the fajitas cooked fresh and hot! The flour tortillas felt so grainy! We will never go back and rather go back the other Hispanic restaurants where the food is a whole lot better!

Good service and great location in eastmark. Unfortunately the tacos just aren't that great. Corn tortillas just fall apart, they need to be cooked a bit longer to hold. Steak almost tastes as though it was steamed, there's zero texture to it, which is really weird. Aqua frescas were good. Hot salsa has no kick but thankfully was the only one of the 3 that wasn't super sweet. Cheddar cheese on the beans is pretty funny. Queso and chips was decently good. Overall, not really our cup of tea for a taqueria.
