was in Mesa for my son's wedding got lost trying to walk to the reception, I for some reason just felt called to walk in this establishment to relax have a beer and cool off and try to find the reception. the bartender Matt was so great. the pinball machines awesome, prices very reasonable. 5 stars. couldn't of gotten lost in a better place!

This place is awesome! Im just here in town for a month and i originally went to the museum just up the street from the bar. I found the bar after walking around town exploring and then EASILY killed 2 hours in there. Definitely going back before i leave town

Not what it once was… you will find a cool pinball/arcade spot, but what used to be the real Beer Research Institute is gone… 1 beer left on tap from the brewery as of today 9/17. All other beers from outside the staple. No longer offering their own beers (48 OG, boom box, etc).
If you’re looking for an arcade spot, still good for that. If you are looking for local specific unique brews, not that great. There are 2-3 better places right down the street for that.

B.R.I lots of great beer on tap. Lots of classic to new video games.. state of the art pinball, open mic ,pin ball tournaments. Dog friendly establishments friendly staff, clean facilities. All around fun. 5 out of 5

Was downtown mesa looking for something too chill with a beer and discovered this place.the music keep me around and the beer did too..It was extremely hot that day and the a/c was blasting you would have not known it was 110 degrees outside will come back again definitely
