Best Gyro in years! Across from our dentist office. Very busy and loud for lunch. Always order a second container of sauce. Lunch was outstanding.

Sorry. Been going there for 15 years. Used to be great. Now the food is tasteless, and the staff is a truly grumpy bunch.

We’ve been going here for a very long time. I’ve noticed the managers are very stingy. I think it makes the other employees a bit uncomfortable. I’d hate my kids working there, it doesn’t seem like a good environment. However, the food is amazing and the portions are very good sized, usually. Every now and then I’ll be surprised by how little meat there is. Tonight my salad had no cheese or peppers but lots of meat. A little inconsistent. The shocker tonight was this though; we just got back from Greece last week and we’re missing gyros and baklava, so we ordered and I ordered baklava for the first time. Around $2.50, I thought “wow, Greece pricing!” (The food there was very affordable). I got it and my whole family laughed out loud. It was no joke, a 1”x1” square (see picture haha) So I certainly won’t order that again. But the one bite baklava was delicious. We always go back, but wish the cooks/managers were a little friendlier and the food was more consistent.

I used to have nothing but good things to say about cafe mix. The food is exactly what I want when I think about having Greek food for my meal. The food is very good. So why a 1 star review if at least the food is 4 stars? Because my experiences at cafe mix have been nothing but negative. Allow me to walk you through a couple of visits I’ve had at this location, along with other people in my family. I went with my wife a couple months ago and we both got Greek salads. My wife, who is allergic to feta cheese, forgot to ask for no cheese on her salad. She felt dumb and we decided to order a new salad instead of making the employees make us a free one, since we felt that it was our mistake and not theirs. My wife mentioned in passing why we were ordering a second time, and the young employee there assured us that it would be taken care of, and we wouldn’t have to pay for it. This would be great service, right? Well it would be, had the employee not been obviously trying to act low-key about giving us the free food. We could tell that this employee was nervous about offering something so small to us. We were very happy with the service so we went and put 20 dollars in the tip jar. The same employee came over to where we were sitting, gave us back the 20 dollars, and said “I think you guys dropped this.” We insisted she keep it, and she replied “No, the owner takes all the tips anyway. It doesn’t even go to us.” We insisted this employee keep the money, but they pointed around the room and said “there are cameras. They’ll know I kept the money.” We were amazed at how many cameras there were, which were primarily pointed at the employee stations, not at the customer areas. I can’t begin to describe how selfish of a life you have to live in order to manage food workers and not give them the tips that they earn by being decent customer service agents. The owners of this place are scummy individuals and have utterly lost my respect along with the rest of my family. Additionally, my sister came here a few months ago and had a poor experience. She has actually had multiple bad experiences but I’ll spare the longer story. One weekend she had called in an order for herself and her husband and their 1 year old child to eat. They had called the order in “to-go”, but upon arriving to the restaurant they decided they’d rather eat there. There were plenty of available tables, so they went ahead and sat down to eat. Within just a couple of minutes, a manager approached their table and told them “We’re sorry, but the tables are for dine-in customers only.” They were then asked to leave to free up the table space for any potential customers that might show up. A reminder that there were plenty of available seats for new customers, and that this is not a reservation style establishment. It is a fast food style place where you get your food and you sit down wherever you want. Imagine telling your PAYING CUSTOMERS that they have to leave because they told you they were gonna take it to go, but changed their minds. Here’s my final experience. This weekend, my wife went to pick up food for the both of us. We had avoided cafe mix for around 6 months because of our experiences, but decided to give them another shot. At one point, my wife asked very nicely if they would please do her salad without feta cheese, as she is allergic (anaphylactic). Upon requesting no cheese, she observed one of the food preparers roll their eyes and say loudly “Ohhhh my goooshhhh”, as if she had ordered the most painstaking meal of all time. Buddy, she just wanted a salad without a side of death. Sorry for the inconvenience, but your job is to make food customized per order. Anyway, a takeaway from all this. NEVER TIP AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT, AS THE OWNERS POCKET THE PROCEEDS. Beware of crappy service, and odd interactions. Again, great food, but the service is so bad that the food doesn’t nearly make up for it.
