Horrible customer service. Don't even think of coming here if its within a couple hours of closing. They literally get mad that they have to make you a burrito lol. What a joke.

When I came into the restaurant, I was the only customer in the entire building. It was 2 hours before they closed but no one else was in there but the staff. When I walked in, all 3 staff members had their backs turned toward me. I waited a few minutes (not exaggerating) before I had to raise my voice and ask to be serviced. Someone from the back of the restaurant came out, and didn’t apologize or greet me. They just put their gloves on and looked at me waiting for what I wanted. Just overall not a friendly service

I ordered food from there for pick up. When I got home, the kids meal I ordered for my child was missing. Then my overpriced salad had undercooked rice, overcooked extremely hard grilled chicken that I paid extra for, no cheese, and a gross tortilla which is saying a lot because they used to have good tortillas. I asked to be contacted about it to see if they can make it right, but they didn’t even have the decency to call or email.

The food can be good—when you actually get it. Service runs the full spectrum from mediocre to downright bad, and every single time I’ve placed a takeout order through the app, something is missing. I’ve learned to check the bag before leaving, but that doesn’t excuse the repeated failures. At least they’re consistent… just consistently careless.

Went here at night but with plenty of time til closing and the two employees had already put away all the food. Why even keep the store open at that point? Completely ridiculous, and based on the other reviews it seems like this is a normal occurrence.

25 min later...... Ordered take out at dinner time. 5PM pick but I got there a couple minutes early. Didn't get my food til 5:25. Looks like everyone conveniently takes a break right before 5, then does all the orders back logged

I come here almost every Sunday to grab a salad for lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious and extremely consistent. Always pleased with the service I receive, and obviously I keep coming back!

This place has gone extremely downhill since 2017/2018, when I used to actually work there in high school. Was a manager called Chemo back in the day who demanded top tier service from all of us, kept energy high, and made us actually respect our customers and closing times. Not sure why we keep coming back here at this point. The service is always bad, depressing energy with the workers making you feel like a burden to order, no effort in making your food, not fresh, dirty everywhere, and everything is “ out stock “ despite still being charged the full price. (Again, I used to work here and I know they should have more in the back so it would take minimum effort to go get more…) What happened to this place man? Listen to the reviews, because the food is disgusting and the place is a mess with people who frown and grimace like they hate their jobs. Super disappointed as we come year after year hoping they get some sit in management crew from corporate to come and take over. Interesting seeing the replies from the company apologizing for experiences but never actually doing anything about it as evident from the annual negative experiences we face year after year. Total and complete disappointment knowing what it could have been. Sad.

I like this chain, but there is always something wrong with this location. The workers are great, but the soda machine isn’t working right, or they locked the doors because it was too busy, or they were waiting for tortillas. Go to a different location unfortunately. The soda machine was dispensing flat soda. It was weird. Never happened to me before.
We eat at the Ft Collins Location almost every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. The staff smiles when they see us, remembers our order and asks us how we have been. Those small acts of kindness are important. And the food is good too! 😊

Food is always tasty and service is great in the day time but severely declines the later it gets . Twice now where I come at 8:30 (they close at 10) and all the food is already put away and customer service is out the window. I got no response after greeting the guy who helped me. The salsas they had out were dry and crusty and it just felt like a burden trying to order. The first time I offered to leave and go elsewhere as it looked like they were closed already. I get it, there’s no customers at that time but maybe slow down on the preclosing. It’s not fair to the customers who get there later and within operating hours and get lower quality food and service.
There was 2 ladies ahead of me who told the guy working it was their first time at a Cafe Rio and the guy could care less and didn’t offer help with the menu. A bad first impression by the staff tonight forsure.

This place is the BEST. It has some of the best Mexican food in my opinion. I highly recommend the shredded chicken taco salad. I use the points app which is great too. Love it so much I go here on my birthday!
