I had the pleasure of dining at Cap'n Ron's Fish and Chips, a family-owned gem, and it was an experience worth sharing. The quality of the food was outstanding, with the fish cooked to crispy perfection on the outside while remaining deliciously flaky inside. The fries were a highlight, unbelievably tasty and cooked just right. What made our visit even more special was the owner's friendliness. She took the time to chat with us while we ate, adding a personal touch that you rarely find elsewhere. This interaction enhanced our dining experience, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued.I wholeheartedly recommend Cap'n Ron's for anyone in search of excellent fish and chips and a warm, engaging atmosphere. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that leaves you with a smile.

The fried shrimp was perfectly fried, and the cocktail sauce was amazing. The white fish was great, and the texture was good. The tartar sauce was good. The service was great. The older woman was very nice, and the place has the perfect sense family. I would totally recommend it.

The fish & chips is nasty white fish, with no taste. Coleslaw was pretty good.

We happened upon this while visiting in the area. Small, cozy place with limited seating. Limited menu, perfect.I decided to try the 3 piece fish/chips. The fish is hand battered and decent size portions. Fish was fresh and tasty. Chips were nice and crispy. About 15 bucks, a bargain in today's prices. Also tried the huge fresh baked cookies, only 2 bucks apiece. Also excellent. The owner, Donna, was also our waitress and possibly our cook. She told us the back story of the place, kind of a sad tale, but she was interesting to talk to. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely go back.

This place was not my original destination for fish and chips tonight. However, after reading the reviews for the place I had in mind, and several reviews for other restaurants, we decided to try Cap'n'Ron's. We do not live in Mesa so this was a 30 minute drive from home. The place is a cozy, no frills restaurant in a shopping center. They have a small, well priced menu. My husband ordered the 3 piece white fish with fries and slaw, while I tried the 2 piece order. The fish was DELICIOUS, probably the best deep fried fish we have eaten in years. The fries are also quite good and the coleslaw is spot on for flavor. The fish pieces are large, flaky and tender. White fish has a more delicate flavor than cod. This is a family run place and our server was an older lady, who checked on our table a number of times. I met the cook, who's name is Jeff. He asked me if I liked the food. I said it was fantastic and that we were there due their great customer reviews since we don't live in the area. There is no liquor served here, but the food alone is worth the trip, even if you don't live in the neighborhood. I know we will come back!

Terrific fish (Alaskan white fish) and chips. Done perfectly!Enjoyed the company of the chef and care taken to prepare ingredients made on site. Best fish/chips in Mesa!

This people are very rude and cannot accept being told something is wrong with the food coleslaw was spoiled Fry's taste like burnt oil and the owner yelled at me instead of acting professional and the fish one piece good the other definable these people are very rude. They should not be running a business! No professionalism or courtesy towards customers .Very Very rude.

Absolute gem of a place! Owner Donna is the most gracious host I have met in a long time. Food is great, at a good price. Wish I'd found this place sooner!!Kid-friendliness: My 3 year old son was so happy when he was given a cute little toy! What a place! :)
