Used to be an amazing place. Actully, it was our favorite. Great food and even better service. That was the past. Has declined horribly even before covid. Horrible food now. 15 minute wait for a drink. 30 plus minutes for bad food. Service was not good. All while empty. Throwing in the towel on this old favorite. So bummed.
Update: Went again recently , 9/2025 and was again disappointed. 2 people at the table ordered prime rib medium rare. Both steaks were served “chilled”. Sent them back. Both steaks came back 5 minutes later… still chilled. We asked for a manger. She came over. Never got her name. Sorry to be politically incorrect, but she was a heavy set woman with no lips. She went on to tell us that medium rare prime rib is served cold. After letting her know we have been there several times for prime rib, medium rare and it was never served cold. She doubled down. Our server was there and overheard her manager and was visibly angry at the manager’s response. Our whole meal ended up being compensated for. But that never would have happened if our server did not support us after witnessing the manager’s response. This place is a gamble still in 2025. You can go one time and have an incredible meal and service, then go back a week later and the food is horrible and the service sucks. Continue to be very disappointed in this place. It used to be one of the best restaurants in the east valley for a nice meal. Roll the dice. You may enjoy, or be strongly disappointed.

I was so sad to find out that our favorite server, James, was let go. We have been going to Charleston's for over 10 years and we loved James! We used to go to the I-10 and Ray Rd location, but we followed him to the Stapley location when the previous one closed and he relocated. We made sure to only go during the time he worked, because he always made us feel like family. Yes, the food is good, but we came back again and again because of the service he provided. My whole family is bummed out, and we feel like we no longer have a reason to go to Charleston's. Bring back James!

The food at charlestons is always consistently very good. The price is very fair for the quality & portions. Service is very slightly hectic, although they are very busy and I completely recognize that. Overall I love it every single time I come here. Their flat iron steak is very good and I really like the sauce. Their horseshoe fries are also something I wish I could get elsewhere.

Charleston's was a lovely experience! Immediately greeted and assisted, waitstaff were friendly, professional, and eager to help. Food was good portions and absolutely delicious! I had the chicken picatta - highly recommend!
Not sure if it was what I ate, but really got sick when I got home. I had the dynamite meal. Forgot to ask about lettuce. I really don't like spinach.

Clean venue is well maintained, staff is professional and efficient. Food well prepared, kitchen staff is top knotch, true passionate chefs and cooks. Manager is constantly on the move to make sure the best possible service is provided. Wait staff incredible. Worth the drive and investment in a fine meal.
