Chupacabra Taproom in Downtown Mesa is one of my favorite local spots! The service is always friendly and laid-back, and they have an awesome rotation of Arizona craft beers on tap. The patio is perfect for hanging out with friends (or bringing the dogs) and they often have local food trucks in the evenings, which makes it even better. If you’re looking for a great spot to grab a drink and enjoy the local Mesa vibe, definitely check out Chupacabra Taproom, it’s a staple for East Valley beer lovers!

I recently spent a week for work in Phoenix. This quickly became my watering hole and I plan to visit every time I'm in town. Chris the bartender, giant bears can't miss him, was great. Not only did he recommend whatever beer was on tap to my specific style, he also had several recommendations on where to stop by for breweries around the city. You can tell there are a lot of regulars at this place and everyone was welcoming. This is a must stop.
The vibes are immaculate, the bartenders knowledge is unequaled, and the collection of food trucks on the daily are *chefs kiss*.
If you’re going to Mesa you need to stop here.

They were extremely rude to me because I needed to be in the restroom a little longer than they approved of. They humiliated me after I came out by taking away my drink and kicking me out of the taproom. So if you have any disabilities or expect to need a restroom for a longer time than usual be careful they don't assume you're doing drugs and kick you out over it.
