This little French patisserie has all sorts of made from scratch goodness ready to make your day sweeter. Their shortbread assortment is extravagant, their cupcakes are divine, and their cookies, breads, croissants, and cakes are just phenomenal. Everything is as gorgeous as it is tasty. Each time we try something new we're surprised to find a new favorite.
Wonderful little “gem” of a shop in the NE mesa. Matilda cakes (varies) are great, and we love their brownies\and shortbread cookies. Definitely has some “bling” with a moist\tasteful cake. Highly recomend

If I could give this place more than 5stars I would! It is completely magical and the pictures online don’t do it justice. The decor in the shop is like being transported into a different time, it’s beautiful and elegant, so special. The shortbread cookie flavors are so unique and refreshing. We had orange blossom, coconut, rose and cherry blossom. This is a family owned business and the 2 employees that helped us were extremely kind! I just can’t get over how whimsical this place is! I’m in love!

We ordered at this bakery for a 17th birthday, and my Goddess did they deliver! Everything from the atmosphere of the place to the aesthetic and food was perfect.
I ordered an 8-inch custom heart-shaped lemon cake with strawberry filling and frosting, all with a very particular design and style and it came out even BETTER than the photos. All night, people could not stop taking pictures of it.
Once we had picked up the cake, driving over seventy miles for it, we knew we'd come back next year and any other time my family and I are in the Mesa area.
Upon arrival to Elysian Fields, we were offered a shortcake cookie, one for each of my family. My parents got coconut shortbread, while I got rose. Both flavors were amazing. I know some people who are not a fan of florals might complain the shortbread tastes "perfume-y/soap-y", but personally, I have always liked florals and adored it! There were plenty of other trinkets on sale, and the candles especially caught our eye. We plan to get one once winter comes in AZ, so we can properly appreciate them. When the lovely person in the glasses came out from the back with the cake, everyone was stunned. We were not expecting it to be that big or for it to be exactly like the inspo picture, if not better, down to even the font. It was perfect. We also got a croissant, pastry, peanut butter cookie, and a caramel- the last one being free of charge (thank you!). All were amazing and delicious.
As for the cake, it was a little dry. HOWEVER, it had been left in the fridge for 3 days before it was cut into, so it's totally understandable it would be like this. I also do wish it had a little more filling and less frosting, but then again, it could've easily been my fault for not specifying better in the order form I filled out; and in regards to the frosting, I do not blame the people here for such a large amount of frosting! As a fellow baker, I know it needs that quantity to look pretty and hold the cake's shape. So, I totally get it and the cake was tasty either way, especially with a cup of coffee.
In conclusion, this place is WORTH it. I will be coming back here for any event needs and will be recommending this place to all friends and family. It's fab and whimsical and the energy in the shop is just so positive and amazing. You can just tell everyone working there has a passion for what they do. Thank you Elysian Fields for making this birthday amazing!

Ordered a custom birthday cake for my mom’s 80th. It was decorated beautifully! However I didn’t get it for looks alone and the taste missed the mark. Vanilla Cake was dry, chocolate filling was also dry and didn’t even stick to the cake and the frosting was supposed to taste like a vanilla/cherry and didn’t taste like anything. I’m not a review type person because I rarely take the time out to make one but I was really disappointed. I wanted it to be a delicious cake. It wasn’t.
