I came in for the first time yesterday and I had the most wonderful experience. Jess was my server and right off the bat she was so warm and welcoming. She recommended the Elote burrito and it was delicious! I haven't had good service as well as food like that in a very long time. If you want to have a great time, request her!

I was taken to this restaurant by my wife today. As a former restaurant owner/manger I hard on reviewer. This restaurant has good food. The food had flavor which is rare in Mesa. The restaurant was busy we were seated right away. Service was average. The only issue with the food was the plate was cold like it was stored in the refrigerator. That is a no no in the restaurant business. No ice water is served in Arizona this is a no no. Atmosphere is very poor at best. To many people doing one person's job. Staff move like there trying to grow roots. The furnishing needs to be upgraded and kept clean. Tables are chips and need to be upgraded. The floor is dirty and held down with duct tape. The seating needs to be relayed out to be able to get more customers in the floor space. If I looked around I could find a lot more issues. But it all adds up to better management/owner.

The host opened the door for me and asked how many were in my party. I wasn’t sure how many were coming so I said around 10. The place was pretty empty, and said we would be seated when half the party arrived(only two of us were present). When one more person arrived they seated us. We didn’t want to take a large table if more people didn’t show up. The waiter took our orders and our meal arrived shortly after. Although there were only 5 of us that showed up in total, the waiter was kind and attentive. Thank you!

We sat for ten minutes watching the server come out and bring water to his other table, he left and came back out and took their order, he left again and came back with the basket of condiments and went back in for a third time without even acknowledging our existence. We've never had to wait that long for the service here for an initial greeting; usually someone comes up within the first minute of being sat down.

I usually love dining at First Watch and have always appreciated the food and experience. However, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality at this location. We visited around 1 PM when it wasn’t busy, yet it took a very long time for our food to be served. When it finally arrived, the food was cold and felt like it had been sitting out for quite some time. I hope this can be addressed, as I’d love to continue enjoying meals here as I have in the past.

Horrible!!! Sat down for 10mins and nobody cared to come and say anything. Bad vibes when Me and my wife walked in. No person of color in sight. Everyone looked at us as if we were out of place. So much for living in a million dollar home community and getting treated like this. Will definitely let everyone we know about this place.
