I have never left a review for a restaurant in my life. But after tonight‘s dinner with my daughters, I had to share my experience. From the moment we walked in the older lady with short hair was extremely rude and seemed almost bothered that we were there. She spilled water on my daughter’s when filling up their glasses. We asked for chili oil that was never brought. My older daughter had to find some from a dirty table. Towards the end of the dinner, I witnessed the other lady bringing us the banana desserts that they give at the end of dinner. Then the older short haired lady told her not to give it to us, and she turned around and went back to the kitchen when I questioned her about it she said the deep fryer wasn’t working and that they don’t have any. This lady was so rude the entire time that my seven-year-old even asked l Mommy why is she being so mean to us? I have no idea what her problem was tonight but coming from a family that owns restaurants. I would never want one of our customers to leave feeling the way I left tonight.

This is my favorite place to eat in town. Very polite and very quick. The chow mein is always delicious. Top notch everything.

Vegetarian options: The vegetable chow mein is my favorite dish.

Dietary restrictions: They make everything to order and I always ask for specific veggies not to be included.

Arrived for pick up to find order was lost they started from scratch took an hr or more to complete. Out of 4 different orders food & watery sauces all had ZERO flavor, was unidentifiable. First & last!!!

My husband and I eat at the Golden Gate at least once a month. Our favorite - Garlic Shrimp. Placed an order today. Husband came home with an order and cup that read "Free." The order was wrong. Sent my husband back and they told him that it was the right order. While he was on his way back I called the restaurant they told me that they use the same shrimp for sweet and sour shrimp and then finalize it in garlic sauce. Bingo, our order had no garlic sauce. My husband went back and he called me from there. The woman said the sometimes the sauce goes to the bottom. Stop Lying Lady. No sauce at the bottom. I asked for a reimbursement. Why can't people just be honest. If you don't have it. You don't have it!!! Don't try to make people stupid.

It is a very good restaurant for sweet and sour pork. Other good food also, but so far, I have ordered just that on their Imperial Combination dinners. Very filling!

Really wanted to love this place since it’s so close. Ordered two large soups and chicken on a stick. 31 dollars. That’s fine if it good. We get this quite often from other places and usually the only veggies in soup is green onions at top so the hatred of veggies husband said no onions. Egg drop soup had mushrooms onions celery and more. My wonton which I don’t mind veggies had huge broccoli in it. Okay but I wanted wonton soup for 10 dollars you think I could get wonton soup. Oh and the chicken on stick was so dry and overcooked no teriyaki. Sorry. Money wasted won’t be back
