I am a long time lover of Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt. This location has driven away my business. I live in Utah where there are no longer Golden Spoon locations. I visit Mesa Arizona 4-6 times a year and try to fit Golden Spoon into my plans as much as possible. On my last visit October 2025 I noticed as soon as I walked in the door that they were now charging $.25 for each sample you requested. I was shocked!!! Not only the charge for samples but I then noticed all of the prices had gone up on the yogurt sizes. I understand everything costs more these days, but both of increases seemed a little excessive. I decided to bypass samples with other flavors I was interest in and go ahead and get a quart size of two flavors that I know I like, Cookies and Cream and Chocolate. I drove 20 minutes to where I was staying to share the yogurt with my family and we all cringed at the taste of the cookies and cream noting it was obviously expired and tasted basically rotten!!! I paid $17 for the quart so I promptly called and asked them to reverse the charge on my credit card because the spoiled flavor had gone into the chocolate as well. A very rude employee said I would have to drive back to be credited for a mistake they should have reversed right away! Simply awful customer service! And if I had sampled the cookies and cream I would have known that it tasted spoiled!!! Consider getting a yummy frozen treat somewhere else than this location. They do not care about their customers anymore

I wasn't excited about this place until I went in and saw that it is not self serve. A kid behind a counter gets your yogurt for you and you only get two or three toppings for your super expensive yogurt. More than two samples is also a charge. Sheesh! They also try to get tips when you pay, even though you stand there and order, then try your best to find yourself a clean table. I hate it when there is an extra worker doing nothing and almost all of the tables are dirty.
I am from California and love Golden Spoon, but this spot is not the good ol neighborhood froyo spot. We walked in at 8:53, two dads and 4 kids excited for some ice cream after a day at the lake. The girl at the front counter said, we are closed, we responded your open sign is on and the door says you close at 9pm. She looked at us with disgust and said, we are closed, it's store policy. So we walked out then she proceeded to serve a couple ice cream at 8:59. I asked for the managers or owners card and she said couldn't find it. I asked why she was serving the other couple and she said, because I can. The older couple came out to our group outside and apologized and said, I don't know why she did that, that was not ok.
What a joke, stay away from this location. They don't want your business nor deserve your business.
Walked in 7 minutes before closing and the young girl behind the counter said they were closed. I said that the sign says they close at 9. She just said it is store policy. Store policy to not serve customers during business hours? We asked for a managers card and the two employees walked in the back door a minute or two and came back out saying they couldn’t find a card and to just look on the website. Frustrated, we walked out only to see them serve another couple that was standing in there when we walked in.
I was willing to give a big tip for coming in close to closing. Their loss.
The couple that got served after we walked out even came out and said to us that they didn’t understand why the employees did that to us and wouldn’t serve us.
I went in there because their sign said they had mint which is one of my favorite flavors. However, when I walked in, they only had like 8 flavors and they didn't have mint. So I walked back out. If your sign has a flavor on it, you should have it.
Getting sadder. Strawberried are now a defrosted mess. An already too expensive but now charging for samples at 25c each and 4% credit charge. Give me a break. Your costs are going up as company bc your supplies are expiring bc your customers cant afford your product or covering all your operating costs.
I paid over $15 for two largest without toppings. The website stated a large was $5.85. Mesa sales tax is 8.3% which means it should have been about $12.67 before my veteran discount of 10% which then should have made it about $11. Since the mesa location was taken over my new ownership they got rid of 50% discount for veterans and it seems the total outgoing price is always different. I have gone to the Mesa location for around 10 years now and I'm not sure i will be going back.
Closed permanently. Building empty

Really good, everything there is good the toppings are great, awesome for a hot day, which in Arizona frankly is every day
I took my daughter her for the first time. After sitting down, we witnessed the young female employee care about her date sitting at a table and touching her feet and not washing her hands between serving customers. Absolutely gross and the health department will be called.
