Seems quite popular among the locals. This busy place is located inside the Mekong Plaza. The dumplings we had were good except the filling is rather on smaller side. The cold noodle Liangpi was just okay. Or as flavorful as the dumplings. Overall the service was fast. Reasonable prices.

8/29/25: this particular Friday we visited Happy Bao's for the first time after work; we arrived around 5:30ish. We left happy & stuffed - with leftovers!

Food? I don't like seafood or onions, so it's sometimes a challenge for me to eat at Asian restaurants. Luckily, I was able to enjoy some tasty items from Happy Bao's. The food came out hot, it was extremely colorful, and everything was delicious.

Service? It's a very small place inside the restaurant (if you suffer from claustrophobia, think twice), but there was a small table or two immediately outside their door. It's in the Mekong Market so if you've been there, you know there's a pretty large dining area located in the food court. The few staff we spoke with were polite & quick.

Ambiance? Nice. They had some cute decor on the walls, though I will say the floor near our table was a bit sticky. Considering the amount of traffic (a lot of customers were simply picking up orders) -- plus how full & busy it was -- I imagine it's difficult to find the time to clean the floors.

I would totally visit Happy Bao's again, though probably for take out vs dine in.

Very good food. We used to go to the one in mesa but it was a little out of the way but now this one is closer and we will be here weekly 🙏

Just ate here with my daughter who is a regular. The chili dumplings, beef chow fun, signature dumplings....Plus the beef ribs. Those HONEY SAUCE ribs were legit on the TEN BEST THINGS I EVER ATE. I ordered a second batch to go. Delicious. Super nice service. Great eats.

YUMMY! My husband and I ate here tonight for date night. We’ve eaten a few places at Maekong - this place was so good! The beef chow fun was very flavorful! The dumplings & bao buns were clearly handmade & very tasty!

Did takeout and was seriously impressed! Tried the chicken dumplings, custard bao, chicken bao, vegetable noodles, and fried rice — everything was so flavorful and delicious. You can really tell they put care into the food. The portion sizes were generous too, so I’m looking forward to enjoying the leftovers tomorrow. Highly recommend!

Came here a few years ago and stopped by again this past weekend while visiting AZ — and once again, the food did not disappoint. It was my friend’s first time, and he really enjoyed it too. We shared the combination dumplings, Liang Pi noodles (warning: super spicy!), Lu Rou Fan, and taro baos. Everything was delicious. Definitely recommend!
