Very bad
Awesome buffet. Love it. Lots of vegitarian options too
Then we're just serving buffet. Upon asking the menu, they said no, and still, there was half an hour reminding to close the restaurant. All the buffet items were seated for a long time, got dry, and faded in colors as well.
Not recommending at all for any even or even casual dining.
Chill little spot to get your indian fix on. Has all the expected items and the Chicken Biryani is always great. The Vindaloo curry spice hits nice and the Aloo Ghobi is good. Overall worth the money and they make sure the Gulab Jamuns are always warm!
I have ordered the same thing for months, multiple times. I am thoroughly disappointed with tonight’s order, and I’m sure the owner/restaurant management is not going to even take a look at this review. I had it delivered like I usually do, we go into the restaurant every now and then too. The rice, and butter chicken were cold. Garlic naan was soggy. But most importantly it’s the worst butter chicken I’ve ever had at India oven. It’s not how they usually make it, I took a few bites a couldn’t finish it, it was disgusting which is disappointing because I paid $27 for my order. It’s clear they only care about money and not the quality taste of food. I’ll find another place with better butter chicken.
This is like the main place we go to eat when we go out. It’s gotten a little pricier, but it’s still decent for the buffet of this quality.
The food is amazing. I recommend going close to like six or seven when dinner starts and I think it’s slightly cheaper at lunch.
I recently visited Indian Oven and was deeply disappointed with the food under the new ownership. This place used to be a favorite, but it has gone downhill fast. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and it was absolutely horrendous. The dish was extremely greasy, with a thick layer of oil sitting on top, making it nearly inedible.
The rice was equally bad—mostly stuck together in unappetizing clumps. It was a far cry from the fluffy, flavorful rice I remember from before.
Sadly, this is not the same restaurant it used to be. If you’re craving quality Indian food, save your money and go somewhere else. Indian Oven, under its new management, is no longer worth your time or money.
Amazing food from the buffet, beyond a good value, very good service

We (4 of us family) went to this restaurant on a Thursday evening at around 8:15 pm. Only a few customers were there at that late hour. We opted for the dinner buffet. The restaurant was good all around.
Pros
Ambiance: a bit dark, with low level lighting, but have a cozy feel. Decorated nicely with Indian and other artifacts.
Service: Very good and friendly. Fresh hot naan brought to our table promptly, multiple times
Food: Mostly good. Here are the hits and misses
Hits: Mango lassi, Masala tea, Pakora Kadi, aloo gobi, paneer Tikka masala (excellent), moist and tender tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, chicken curry (could have been spicier), gulab jamun was very good.
Miss: Pakora appetizer was too dry. chhole, Dal and palak was surprisingly bland. Kheer was not sweet enough.
Overall: I would give this restaurant an A, because we did have a pleasant experience.

I used to be a regular customer of India Oven. Prices were always reasonable and the food was consistently great.
I was there to buy a new year 's diner for my daughter and me, and as we entered i didn't see my good friends that used to be there servicing customers.. i asked, and they told me that they have a new ownership/ management. While I was still talking to a waiter, a rude guy approached me to ask what I wanted, so I told him that I wanted a "to go" order and he told me that he was going to take the order at the counter.
I was really surprised when he told me that the price was $308.00. but he would make a discount of 10% if I paid cash, so the price would be just $280.00 approx.
I told him that the price was abusive since assuming that the price was now double per person ($30.00) it would be around $60.00 or even $80.00 worst case.
He started trying to negotiate the price but I told them to stop doing that since the prices are something coming from them and I'm very respectful about this.
I just said thanks and walked away.
I went to the new place opened by the previous owner (Bombay House) at McClintock and baseline, and we place the order. The owner was as friendly as always and we had a great and delicious diner enough for 3 persons for $76.00... I'm done with India Oven

I ordered online through door dash so I don't have a good experience inside. However the food was absolutely wonderful and pretty large portions. We got the tika and butter chicken, both hot and they were really hot. If you don't like spicy food there is an option for little spicy or none.

Food is always good and they try really hard to check up on their customers during the meal. I just always notice all the dust on the decorations all over the top by the ceiling. Dust on top of the mirrors throughout the restaurant. Tape and fingerprints on the wood paneling next to the tables and ripped seats. Hopefully 2025 will be an even better year for them financially so they can make the appearance of the restaurant match the food.

Tonight, I had the pleasure of showing a commercial property listed at $1.2 million, and afterward, I was excited to satisfy my craving for Indian food. Luckily, Indian Oven was nearby! I've been enjoying their fantastic lunch buffet for the past 10 years, but this was my first experience with their dinner buffet.
Wow, what a delightful surprise! The food was absolutely incredible. The naan was exceptionally tasty, and every curry I tried was bursting with flavor. Even the Tandoori chicken was out of this world! It felt like there was a special magic in the air at dinner. I can't wait to return and relish more of their amazing dishes!

Great place great food great alcohol selection. I was so impressed with the food especially with the desserts mind blowing how they keep the temperature regulated on everything. Goat and chicken is a much try on the their buffet menu. Definitely recommend this place if you want to mess up your diet or if it’s your cheat day.

We will not be returning. We went to the buffet this morning, and paid a whopping $17 per plate, and much of the food on the buffet was not fresh, and obviously were leftovers from at least the day before. The naan bread was flat and rubbery, obviously a leftover and not freshly made. The waiter confirmed this to us when we asked him. The chicken masala had no white meat and had a strange taste, and not sure if they added something to cover it from being a day or so old. The fried vegetable breads were not crispy and definitely not fresh. This restaurant is one of the most expensive buffets in Mesa/PHX, and there is no way we will chance returning and pay this kind of money agatin to get stale, funny tasting and leftover food.
