I looked the owner's hospitality. And finally I found a place to eat great empanadas. Argentinians are the only empanadas makers that make the grade. I've had others, including Cubans, which is where I'm from, but theirs make 'the icing on the cake'. I gotta go back and have more.

La Esquina Argentina is tough to find but a treasure waiting to be discovered! A lovely little place with tablecloths and candles and DELICIOUS food. Also a wonderful waiter and great staff. The owner prepared the food herself. The steaks were fire grilled and cooked to perfection. The side dishes were wonderfully prepared. We had Empanadas, freshly prepared, great start to our meal. Dessert was tempting but the dinner portions were more than adequate. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely go back again.

Excellent meal. Had the steak sandwich for lunch ( enough for lunch tomorrow too). Also had the spicy empanada as an appetizer - fantastic!! Highly recommend this place.

Poor quality meat and very slow service. Pity because a nice Argentinian restaurant would have been great. This place isn't it.

Finally an Argentinian place in the east valley! Been waiting too long. Classic empanadas and dishes like milanesas and ensalada rusa. Also the tango music makes is feel like you are in Buenos Aires

Authentic Argentine cuisine the empanadas, the Choripan and Milanesa Nepolitana were excellent as well as the selection of desserts. Highly recommended.

It is always nice to be able to go to a restaurant with friends and share the dishes ordered to get a broader experience of the menu offerings. On two visits with friends to this quaint little restaurant, I was able to try entraña (grilled skirt steak), steak milanesa (breaded steak, both the traditional version and the napolitano version which is topped with tomato and cheese), chorizo and morcilla sausages, ensalada rusa, and the flan and alfajor. I asked the server what traditional degree of grilling was applied to entraña and he said it is on the well-done side, so I ordered it that way. The meat had a really tasty grilled flavor but because it is a skirt steak, grilling it to well-done resulted in it being on the chewy side, not surprisingly; next time I will order it medium. The milanesa steaks had a good flavor and were huge, so that in both visits take-home boxes were needed. Ensalada rusa (potato and pea salad) made for a good side for the meats. The chorizo was flavorful and milder than the version we find in other Latin establishments. I enjoyed the morcilla (blood sausage) and that is because I grew up in a culture where the cuisine includes some dishes containing pork blood as an ingredient; I can imagine that this would be an acquired taste for a lot of people not used to such. The alfajor (cornstarch cookies with a filling of dulce de leche) and the flan were scrumptious and make for a heavenly end to the meals. Just a note: it may take a while for the dishes you order to arrive, but keep in mind that the restaurant is relatively new and they are still fine-tuning its operation.

I have been looking for an AZ Argentine place for WAY too long. I was so happy to see a place finally open up. It was everything I could have hoped for--got the parrillada for one (cooked on a REAL grill), my wife got the milanesa napolitana, we shared an empanada. Nothing disappointed. I tried my best to not get dessert, and failed miserably, getting the alfajor, the flan, and a dulce de leche filled factura--and they were too good, so I ate them all before paying my surprisingly small bill. Let me repeat--they have FACTURAS! Please, please, go here and keep this place in business!

Best empanadas in town! A sweet, authentic and delicious hole in the wall for Argentine food. Loved them at the farmers market and even more now with more options at the restaurant!

Great food and our waiter spoke very little English so it added to the atmosphere. We have a son living in Argentina and wanted to experience a little of what he might be eating.

Made reservations for 10 ppl about 2 weeks ago. I called and added 3 more. We showed up on time at 6, and they only had seating for 9. The waiter didn't speak English. Three other tables came in after us but got their food before us. We got no bread like the other tables, even after asking for it. We had to get up and refill our own drinks. It took 1 1/4 hr just to get our food The meats were all SO tough and not even edible because they were tough. No sauce on the sandwiches. The food was extremely bland with no seasonings. One couple ordered an appetizer that came at the end of the meal. We asked for our checks but 15 mins later still had not received them so we all just got up and stood in front of the counter. The waiter took care of the other tables that spoke his language...we had to use a translator app on our phones! It took 2 hours for dinner. Overall horrible experience and none of the 13 will return or recommend this hole!
