My husband and I were invited to join our daughter and her friend at Macayo’s for his birthday recently. This was our first dining there and it was a great experience! The food (mini chimichangas) was delicious, the waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we always had everything we needed. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time, and our experience there was quite pleasant. We would definitely go back again! Also, we sure enjoyed the fried ice cream! :)

Love their green corn tamales with Baja sauce. And the margaritas aren't bad either!

Buy a fancy margarita glass. Get .79 or .99 refills. I've had better Mexican food but senior and happy hour deals are a good value. Staff is super! Nice patio.

Visiting my mom as she fell ill. I haven’t had Macayos since I Moved to LA and I’m so so happy there’s one near her hospital! Their hot sauce is so the best and love their shredded beef tacos! The good things about coming home.

Sadly, I didn't have the best experience. The chips were good, Salsa, just so-so, needs a little more garlic and a kick. The Margarita was very good, nice and limey. However, I ordered a ground Beef chimmy and got a shredded Chicken, which instead of being a deep fried flour tortilla with a little sauce and cheese on top, appeared to be a soft flour tortilla, making it kind of tough to cut, soft and mushy.
The Waiter didn't attend the table enough to get the message of the Dish error, making it too late to fix it. They DID comp the meal, which I appreciate.

Had an amazing family dinner here tonight with 12 others! Beth was our server and she was absolutely incredible. It was Christmas Eve and busy and we had a bunch of kids running around and they (the servers) were all chill about it and didn't seem to feel put out or anything.

Beth also went out of her way to get me a custom drink order - so sweet, such yummy food (I always get the tamale bites), and good times and vibes!

Very disappointed. Street Tacos we're not god at all. The tortillas were tought and not much meat at all on them.

Lunch with my gf on Friday. First time here. Will be back. Food & service was excellent. Crispy taco & enchilada was better than I expected. Place was’t too busy, was clean and roomy. Patio seating (dog friendly) available.

We were there, late in the evening, with a large group and they did an excellent job getting all the orders and bills correct. They kept us content with flowing drinks and chips while we waited. The fajita enchiladas were delicious.
