We ordered shrimp fajita for $20.99 and upgraded to the sharable plate for an additional $9.99. So, for $31 we got two small tortillas and EIGHT very small shrimp (with customary sides.) If that's the sharable platter, one would assume that the regular $20.99 platter would have 5 shrimp and one small tortilla? Taco Bell is a better value.

Jasmine was on her own this morning and did an amazing job!

Not only was she serving drinks, clearing tables etc... she did a fabulous job!

This restaurant saved the day. We were traveling and had some issues getting to the airport and didn't have time to eat prior to arriving. I let the waitress know we only had 45 minutes, she was very attentive and we were able to snack on chips and have fantastic food prior to our flight. I would highly recommend letting the waitress know upfront if you have time constraints because others at the airport might have several hours to burn and don't want to feel rushed. We will be back!

As a very long time Macayos customer born and raised in the Phoenix region I have ate at the west valley Macayos a lot. My wife absolutely loves the chimi's and we make it a point to stop at one of the locations whenever we are in the valley. This locations server was awful. We waited quite a long time before even being greeted by the staff. Which was ok because honestly they always make really good food. After being seated out server greeted us and asked for our drinks while we were still trying to order rushed off as if we were a bother. (This is a Monday afternoon and maybe 10% of the tables were taken). She then took our orders in a very condescending tone and brought our food out. (The food was really good). We asked for more napkins as all that was provided were under the silverware. She brought out a stack and threw them in our chips that everyone was still eating. When she came back did not want to order the very discounted desserts which we were originally planning on and asked for the check. Again tossed in the chip basket that my children were still eating from. Not afraid of the germs but have never had napkins or checks thrown in an appetizer bowl. I was pretty frustrated with the service at this point and made my way to the front as Macayos used to check out their guests and sat there for a couple minutes trying to close our tab with someone else when she followed me up there and lectured me of paying at the table. Paid my tab and even gave a good tip when she walked away after asking the hostess that walked up later to ensure it went to the kitchen staff as always the food was really good. Definitely never going to the Scottsdale location again and honestly I know from this experience we will be venturing out from Macayos in general next time we are down in the valley.

This place used to be so good. Now it’s terribly slow service and below average food. Also check your bill as they are adding a 20% tip without your knowledge.

Arrived 2 minutes before Mesa airport location opened. Serve took everyone else’s orders before us despite us being sat before all of them. Waited 45+ minutes for our food. Paid in advance. Had to leave without our food. Worst service we’ve ever experienced. Macayos, you owe us $30. Never again.

The Cali burrito is tasty, do not order Carne Asada add on. We only got like 5 pea sized peices! Good news, the waitress removed the upcharge! So 4 stars it is.

Went to the Goodyear location on a Tuesday. I don’t know when they changed the way they make their crispy fried tacos but we got tacos in a pre-deepfried shell with soupy shredded beef with tomatoes and onion in the beef. Worst food I’ve had there.

Worst Mexican food I’ve experienced. The food came out about 10 mins after ordering and looked, tasted, and felt like it had been sitting under a warmer for an hour. The beans are thick and dried out like a blob of paste. The tacos cold inside and slightly warm to the touch, meat inside was dried out and burnt and overall, over cooked. The Cadillac Margarita tasted like really cheap mix and was full of salt. Could not drink it, and I rarely send a drink back. The second version was less salty but not good. Still mostly mix. Not what I expected from Macayo’s. Have always had good food at the restaurants but not here. Service was quick and friendly, and the chips were okay, so that was good.

Waiting for a flight and decided to eat here and asked for a booth. Server said I couldn’t sit at a booth since I was a single guest. And those are saved for families. Offered to sit me at the rail by the airport guests walking right by me or the bar top. Then the server sits 1 adult and a 5 year old child at the booth I requested. I never give reviews but this one is justified and deserved.

Horrible service. The server ignores eye contact with you. Waited for 20 minutes without being helped .

This is a nice option while you are behind Security and want to eat. The best part about this restaurant are there chips and the option to sit outside in the warm weather.

Only available past security meaning you cannot eat here unless you have a flight and are past security. I love Macayos and wanted to give a heads up.
