The chicken poblano hit the spot. Shared a cheese crisp as an appetizer and everything was really good. Will definitely come back with my friends

some of the WORST Mexican food ever. flavorless disgusting makes me want to spit it out and eat tacobell instead. The tables are filthy, wait staff took over 10 minutes to get our drink order. the only positive thing is they have good drinks and salsa the out of the can refried beans were amazing.

Oh man, where do I start? The burrito I ordered was nothing but boiled meat, and ligaments.

Not a child-friendly place. Service is extremely slow. We waited over 15 minutes for a high chair and then at the end waited another 10 minutes to get our change so we could leave. Food was okay.

Got to the resturant and was promptly seated. Waitress quickly got our drink order and brought to our table. Couple minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. Food didn't take long and brought to our table. Waitress ask if the food was OK and we said yes. She constantly check on us to see if we needed more refills or anything else. Awesome customer service from our Waitress. I will definitely come back.

Our family has loved Macayo's for decades, and our experience here was another great one. We had a disappointing experience at the Tempe location, and decided to get up, leave, and try this location instead. We were immediately relieved by the attentive and kind staff, quick and tasty food, and chill, pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Macayo's, and definitely make the 10 minute drive to this one over the Tempe location!

Food smelled good but looked bad and tasted okay. It was not great for the price I paid. Very costly.

The company sold out. I don't understand why anybody still goes to any of their locations.

We ordered shrimp fajita for $20.99 and upgraded to the sharable plate for an additional $9.99. So, for $31 we got two small tortillas and EIGHT very small shrimp (with customary sides.) If that's the sharable platter, one would assume that the regular $20.99 platter would have 5 shrimp and one small tortilla? Taco Bell is a better value.

Hadn't been here in years but wanted to try it again. service was good very pleasant waitress. Cheese crisp and. Fiesta salad with chicken. House margarita and Texas. Cheese crisp so overloaded with cheese. Caused flour tortilla to fall apart big clumps of in melted cheese. Lettuce greens soaking wet with water made salad a soggy mess. Could tell margaritas were pre made in volume very watered down taste. And some random kid wandering around tables selling candy and asking for donations staff didn't seemed bothered by him and appeared they new him. Not the experience I remembered from the original one downtown.

As a very long time Macayos customer born and raised in the Phoenix region I have ate at the west valley Macayos a lot. My wife absolutely loves the chimi's and we make it a point to stop at one of the locations whenever we are in the valley. This locations server was awful. We waited quite a long time before even being greeted by the staff. Which was ok because honestly they always make really good food. After being seated out server greeted us and asked for our drinks while we were still trying to order rushed off as if we were a bother. (This is a Monday afternoon and maybe 10% of the tables were taken). She then took our orders in a very condescending tone and brought our food out. (The food was really good). We asked for more napkins as all that was provided were under the silverware. She brought out a stack and threw them in our chips that everyone was still eating. When she came back did not want to order the very discounted desserts which we were originally planning on and asked for the check. Again tossed in the chip basket that my children were still eating from. Not afraid of the germs but have never had napkins or checks thrown in an appetizer bowl. I was pretty frustrated with the service at this point and made my way to the front as Macayos used to check out their guests and sat there for a couple minutes trying to close our tab with someone else when she followed me up there and lectured me of paying at the table. Paid my tab and even gave a good tip when she walked away after asking the hostess that walked up later to ensure it went to the kitchen staff as always the food was really good. Definitely never going to the Scottsdale location again and honestly I know from this experience we will be venturing out from Macayos in general next time we are down in the valley.

This place used to be so good. Now it’s terribly slow service and below average food. Also check your bill as they are adding a 20% tip without your knowledge.
