I get the curry katsu a lot. I also order to go. I would suggest 2 aspects: 1) ask for more curry 2) ask to not have the paper decor they put at the bottom of the to-go box. That paper disintegrates when exposed to moisture. And the time you forget and pour the curry over the katsu... that paper is just mixed with the curry.I get it to go because it's always busy when I want curry katsu - weekends and/or evenings. So, the atmosphere is always loud that I need headphones/earbuds to be in that food court.

I recently dined at Maisen Katsu, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary adventure. I ordered the Curry Katsu with Chicken. The portion was generous, The flavors were worth every bite. The crispy breaded chicken was cooked to perfection, and the thinness of the cut allowed for an ideal balance. Each mouthful delivered a satisfying crunch, and I appreciated that the chicken didn't overwhelm the dish. The sauce! It was the unsung hero. Rich, savory, and it elevated the katsu to new heights. Overall Maisen Katsu knows how to do katsu justice. Whether you're a fan of hearty portions or prefer a delicate crunch, this place caters to all. I left with a contented belly and a mental note to return soon. The service was fast, it is located in the middle of the market so depending on the time you go it may be busy and a little difficult to find a seat if you plan to eat there.

Ordered gyoza and asked for it to-go after I paid. They threw a fit even tho there was obviously nowhere to sit. I gotta stop tipping at these counter serve places.

Just the comfort food I needed! I got the King Pork Katsu which comes with rice, some mac salad, something similar to cold slaw, radish and miso soup. The katsu was thin but delicious with the sauce. It was pretty pricey for thin meat ($16.99) but I was able to take home and ate it for 2 meals. The miso soup was slightly above room temperature so it was disappointing. The food court is popping! Pretty difficult to find a table so you'll need to keep an eye out.

Absolutely love coming to the H Mart food court!! There are so many amazing stalls to try, but this one is such a great Japanese restaurant!! I got the spicy miso ramen and it was to die for! Just absolutely love this place! My friend tried one of the katsu dishes and also really liked it. Definitely recommend the entire food court to everyone who loves Asian food.

Got the chicken katsu curry. Came with miso soup? Was just a broth with 1 piece of seeweed and 1 tiny scallion. I didn't expect 2 chicken breasts, so portions were big. But so was price. Egg roll was cookie cutter. With tip, $27 for lunch? Stomach doesn't feel too great 7 hrs later. It just wasn't good Japanese food. It was bland. Will not go back here or to H Mart. Just not my level of quality food.

One of a few specialized Katsu restaurants in the valley serving the most tender Pork katsu comparable with top katsu restaurants abroad! The pork just melts in your mouth and is served with a side of rice and cabbage salad. The cabbage could be more finely shredded but I can live with it. The katsu sauce is Korean style. If you prefer Japanese katsu sauce that's more tangy like me, you can bring your own or just quickly grab one from H Mart. They serve food only in take-out containers after 7pm (but you can still sit down and eat) and stop taking orders right at 7:30.

Food in a food court style area inside of H Mart, so take that for what it’s worth. BUT, the katsu here is next level. It has a light and super crispy coating that doesn’t just fall off as soon as you cut into it like many other katsus…this is worth the drive and worth the wait when it’s busy.Even my picky kids really liked it…!

Found inside the H Mart food court, this place is a hidden treasure! I got the chicken katsu curry for $17. It came with miso soup, some pickled veggies, cole slaw, rice, and 2 large chicken katsu cutlets with curry on top. Next time, I would get extra rice instead of the cole slaw, since the rice to chicken ratio was subpar. The chicken was extremely tender, and the breading was flaky and crispy. One of the best chicken katsu curry meals I've had!

Very good Korean food for me. The cold buckwheat noodle was tasty and best ever in Arizona. It was inside the H-Mart Market and was dine in but picked up at the counter - the order taker was kind and helpful. There are many other restaurants there. I will go there again and again

We weren't in the mood for katsu, so we ordered a ramen & udon soup instead. Flavors weren't too bad, but we would definitely try this place out again and do their chicken katsu.
