I am told Mama Linda's is closed for the Summer. They are planning to expand and try for a liquor license and more seating. Pro Tip: Call to verify before making any lengthy drive!

I will miss the Texas sized portions of lasagna and her Italian wedding soup. Ditto for lemon cake! We will definitely return upon re-opening!

The real stars at this establishment were go to select staff. The maitre'd and his girlfriend / server were always delightful! Always happy to see us too! They deserve 10 stars!

So - as the lyrics go: "See You, In September" (or so I hope).

The service was good enough, the atmosphere wasn't bad, but wasnt great, and the food portions were large for the price 12-20$. Unfortunately, the food was just very disappointing. I went with my wife and her friend, and each of our dishes the sauce was very watery, and lacking flavor. Additionally, everything just was too oily. I couldn't help thinking to myself that I could make a much better Italian dish for dinner myself for less money, and I am no chef. Just in general, the quality of the ingredients seemed pretty low. I think they would do better to buy higher quality ingredients e.g. (the sauce, the noodles, and the oil), make better recipes, and give out smaller quantities of food. To offset the cost of higher quality ingredients.

Best lasagna I’ve had since I’ve gotten here, generous portion, multiple layers with quality ingredients; meat, cheeses, and sauce all balance together to complement each other perfectly with just the right touch of red wine and for flavor. Lemon cake, and the tiramisu should not be be missed either. Me and my dining companion get one of these desserts on every visit. A small intimate atmosphere that has limited seating but fortunately we have always been able to get seating on all visits to date. Although it’s is nice casual dining, It definitely out dresses the strip mall where it’s located. Very friendly personal service from all the staff that we’ve encountered. If you’re looking for great Italian in the East Valley area Mama Linda’s will not disappoint. Dinner Only, open 4-8, closed Sun & Mon.

Mama Linda and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately the food was not. We went with a group of 6 last weekend. I ordered the beef cacciatore and my wife had the chicken marsala; and both were almost not edible. The marsala came out with a “grey”piece of chicken and was an instant turnoff. The cacciatore had SOOO much oil that I had stop eating it. Both dishes had zero flavor. The lasagna was just OK.Who has an Italian restaurant and doesn’t serve wine? Thanks but no thanks!

My friends and I stopped into Linda's about 2 weeks ago. When we first walked in we loved how cute and inviting the place looked. We ordered our meals and couldnt wait to try out the dishes we ordered. When our meals came out they looked really good, and there was plenty of food, but the food was tasteless. I ordered veal parm, my favorite, if only it tasted as good as it looked. My friend ordered a shrimp and pasta dish. She asked the waitress for some garlic salt because she said there was no flavor to the sauce. I've started my veal dish by now, and was surprised at how flavorless mine was too. The veal was overdone and very chewy. I do not understand how you can open an Italian restaurant without a good basic tomato sauce!! I have never ever had a meal quite this bad. The staff was very nice, but the quality of the food was just awful!! Now I know why we were the only people in there. There's no way this place will survive the summer.

I feel bad writing this after reading other great reviews but our food experience was not great. We were a group of 9 and arrived at 6pm on Saturday evening. Our waitress was great! Absolutely no complaints there. The place is very very small (4 tables and a bar) and air circulation was minimal. We were so uncomfortably warm during dinner. As for food……...we started with a couple bread baskets. We literally could not bite thru it it was soooo hard. I thought Id break the teeth outta my mouth!!! Old? Super stale? Rock hard!!! Next was a side salad which was fine. Dinners arrived promptly and looked good. Large portions. Problem was there was NO flavor! I had chicken Alfredo and have never had a sauce that was thinner than soup. Very little cut up chicken mixed in. NO flavor!!! Took a few bites and it just wasnt worth eating. I brought it home but after a late evening taste, the rest will get tossed. My husband had the Veal Parmesan and said his was tasteless also. I didnt want to ask the others who chose the restaurant what they thought. Not trying to make anyone feel bad for picking this spot to go.Our total for 2 dinners and 2 sodas was $42.50, so not horrible on pricing. It does stink that you cant buy a glass of wine at an Italian restaurant. No liquor license. So a supposed nice Italian dinner on a Saturday nite with a coke! Yuk!!!This was a BIG miss for us and we would not go back. Hours are 4 to 8.Ohhh…and their “Lasagna” which several of our group wanted was already sold out for the evening at 6pm on a Saturday. ?‍♀️ Poor planning. There was only 4 customers dining when we went in at 6:00, so how many lasagnas did they have?Sorry….I just cant recommend this restaurant.
