Delicious and flavorful octopus platter, as well as a crispy & juicy fried fish. The house salsa was amazing, I couldn't stop eating it. It was super busy at 230pm on a Saturday & the music is extremely loud. So much so that you definitely cannot carry a conversation with anyone. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will try to request to sit further away from the speakers. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with us despite a language barrier. The hostess stepped in to translate what I could not understand with my minimal Spanish language understanding. I cannot wait to come back and get the whole ocotpus!

I have been here twice and have found that El Viejon has very good quality authentic Mariscos at a very fair price. This is one of the better Mexican seafood restaurants I have found near the Gilbert and Chandler area. Drinks and service are good too. Both visits have had live music which is nice, but can be a little loud and hard to hear conversation (didn’t bother us, but may for some). All in all this is a great little place and I will continue returning.

"I always have an awful experience here. The service is the worst I've ever had—they take over an hour just to get the check! To make matters worse, if another server noticed me, they completely ignored me instead of helping. Very disappointing! The food and micheladas are good but not worth the wait. I won't be coming back!

Does top notch food, the oysters are incredible the seafood cocktails are fresh and of high quality seafood. My kiddo got the fried shrimp tacos with a side of beans and rice. The tacos were good the beans were incredible. My other kiddo got a surf and turf sushi roll with carne asada steak shrimp and crab with cream cheese on it it was absolutely awesome maybe a little bit too much rice but it was enough to feed two or three people easily. The service was awesome the place was clean and smelled good the food came out fast and the prices were Beyond fair for the food and the portions.

Terrible service. Do yourself a favor and don’t go here. Food was also not good. Nothing about this place was even decent. And way over priced!
Came in for a solo lunch and sat at the bar. The service was great, everyone was friendly.Had two tostadas and two tacos and everyone was tasty! The Micheleadas were on point. Definitely recommend.

I’m only giving this place 4 stars because the band inside was so unbearably loud I couldn’t hear a word anyone at my table or the server was saying. Music is great, but when it’s so loud that when you leave with your ears ringing, that’s when it becomes less great. If it weren’t as loud, it would’ve been much better. Food was amazing though and super fresh.
