Have not been to nellos in a long time. But have been a fan for years. Been to the mesa location and the old Tempe location before they closed. Recently over holidays I took my best friends mother who is from Bronx New York and she loved it! The service is a 10 (our drinks were never empty) I ordered 3 different pizzas and we ate every single slice. The wings, juicy and cooked nice and crispy. I intend to visit more often.

Nelly’s is starting to drop the ball! Consistency is no longer in the pizza and service. Pizzas have tasted bland and the pizzas lately have a weird taste. Going to test the waters for other Original Chicago Pizza in the area to see who is more consistent in pizza and service.

We ordered the pepperoni pizza and supreme. The pizza had no taste. The garlic bread and marinara were very good so we thought the pizza would be good. Our server was non existent even though there were not many people there. We would like to come back and try something else that isn’t pizza. They do not sell wings.

Usually Nello's is a 5 Star place in my book and I mean for the last 30 years. Tonight the pizza sauce on my pickup order was NOT nellos. It really let me and the family down it had been a while and wanted a good pie but this didn't even taste like Nellos the sauce was missing any sort of spice and that's what makes it. Just wanted to bring it to attention to possibly fix the issue if needed. Thanks!

Delicious! This was my first time eating here, my mind was blown! The antipasto salad with the house dressing is divine!! We also got the cheese bread which was so good dipped in the house dressing. The pizza, we got Brian's pie and the bacon was so crispy and the cheese was so good. If you want good real Italian food. Nellos is your place!! Will be a regular!!!

Once was the pentimate Chi deep dish go to. From moms recipe for the sauce, to the in house handmade sausage, and fresh in house cheesecakes everything was handmade without compromise. The decades have trimmed the expectations. Do not take this as anything but survival economically. I had no hesitation sitting down a three generation table for dinner and will do again. Just miss the day of a deep dish having more goodness than a take home pizza. Love the people I meet every time who have flead the East(Midwest is no longer accurate) to our fair community. Look forward to joining family and friends for good food and shared time at Nello's for decades to come
Kid-friendliness: Yes, was delighted to watch family with two daughters in bike helmets leave after their dinner. Absolutely family environment.
I have been coming here since 1997. This is one of my top 5 favorite pizzas. The 14 inch traditional crust Skinny with jalapeños. The consistency over the years has been amazing. This pie is so damn delicious. It gets better the next day. Service is always spectacular. I have never had a bad experience here. I definitely recommend this spot.
