If these are the best tamales in town, then I feel sorry for everyone living in this neighborhood. I’m for Texas and our tamales are PACKED with flavor. These lack flavor, the cheese in the chicken ones is practically gummy. Green salsa was good, sweet corn tamale okay and the pork was COMPLETELY season less. No taste at all, definitely NOT
worth their prices.

Atomsphere - just take it to go

Service - slight language barrier between myself and cashier

I arrived at 8:30AM this morning and posted hours say they open at 9 AM. Fine, I wait. At 9 AM staff is cleaning the front walk way and said they need another 30-40 minutes before they open. So annoying. Post true hours you are actually open and ready to receive customers.

Went to Taquito Jalisco instead who is ALWAYS open on time with great customer service.

They lost my order and I waited for almost 45 minutes, no discounts for the extended wait.

Super bad experience we asked for the bathroom for my mother and they denied it to us and the owner was even rude and refused to lend it so much... it even makes us think that they are hiding something inside... I won't be back again, first and last time I went

Just ok. Very small tamales, especially for the $4.24 each they are currently asking. Not overly friendly either. I would not go back.

Tamales were some of the best I've ever had. They were sold out of combos as well as sweet corn when we were there. $4.25 per tamale is pretty steep though.

Looks like they changed the recipe for the tamales as they are not the same as they used to be and the price is incredibly high

Make sure you come early because they can sell out and they don’t answer their phone. Despite having a website online orders link errors 404 not found. This place is very good but struggles to make it easy for customer to purchase their excellent products.

So overpriced $40/dozen! They raise prices Oct-Dec “to meet demands” and conveniently forget to lower the price afterwards. The young man who looks like the manager seems rude but he may have been short tempered at the slowness of the cashier lady. The quality of tamales has gone down likely due to commercialization and mass production, they aren’t as moist as they were pre-pandemic. The red meat tamale isn’t king anymore, pork may be the better option currently, and the place is understaffed. It’s ok if you don’t have anywhere else to buy them from, but lately been becoming a ripoff for the current quality.

UPDATE - To celebrate the Holiday spirit, a dozen tamales has gone up to $44 in price at this place. Officially no longer worth it!! A dozen was $34 when this post first went up in November.

Asked specifically for 4 Sweet Corn tamales, they told me they would be ready in 25 minutes. I opted for a different mix of Tamales and still spent $34 on a mixed dozen of tamales. The guy behind me in line asked for Sweet Corn and they handed him the last two. Apparently they didn't feel the need to tell me they only had two, and if I wanted those I could have those. Horrible service........this happened the morning of 11/10/24 at about 10.15 AM. I'm sure you can see it on camera

My experience is very bad...to begin with, the lady who takes the orders Mandela comes back with a big card, stop, they have it by force. Seles lost my order, I waited more than 35 minutes and I'm going to claim my order and the lady is not even sorry that it's bad. She wins with her money, the one who also charges a tortoise gave me the order and apart from disorganized losses, so expensive what they charge and such bad service
