Painted Mountain Restaurant

This restaurant is located on the property of the west gate resort we stayed at back in May. I like that there was at least one restaurant on the property in case you didn’t want to go far from the resort or just was hungry during your stay. Our waitress was amazing unfortunately forgot her name. They were having a karaoke event that seemed to be really popular it was a pretty big crowd. They had a wedding earlier in the day so place gets lots of business and hosts many events. I found out about this spot online saw they had specials certain days. Saturday i believe was a steak dinner day. I mean you get what you pay for. Steak dinner wasn’t horrible but it was basic. Not much flavor or seasoning or butter. I think some seasoning and butter would have helped. But steak and two sides was $20 i think reasonable enough although outback would have been a better option compared to this plate. Spaghetti was basic as well. Not really much to comment on. The food overall was not great. The drinks were really good. Appetizers were sufficient. I would definitely go back for appetizers and drinks. Definitely would skip anything else. The inside of the restaurant could definitely use some upgrades. It was very old looking. But overall not a terrible place. Definitely recommend for drinks, maybe some appetizers.

Harry Matthew's puts on a terrific show, and knows how to get the audience involved. Great music and lots of dancing.

Had dinner there last evening with a party of 6. Our server was wonderful! The atmosphere was great. Seating was awesome. The food was horrible! It truly had to have been the worst food/meal I've ever been served. I couldn't even finish it! I was so appalled and disappointed that when the wait staff came around to clear stuff from our tables, I blurted out to him that it was a terrible dinner. I told him it was the meatloaf dinner and that I don't know how someone can f**k up meatloaf, but that someone surely did! The mashed potatoes, green beans and mushroom gravy had absolutely NO flavor and the meatloaf tasted like cardboard. It clearly was NOT a kitchen prepared meal. And was worse than a cheap microwave meal! Y'all need to hire some actual chefs or at best some short order cooks! Oh, the Pot Roast meal was just as bad! We won't be back!

Lee Ann was our server for the 2nd time, and by far the service and the food exceeds expectations. Lee Ann was very attentive and made our meal experience fantastic. Cudos to the management on great operation of this great venue!

Very busy so service was slow but I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't matter. Food was good. I am sure they were short staffed.

Not pleased at all, paid over $35.00 a plate for Christmas dinner. The turkey was thin slices of what looked like lunch meat and the stuffing had no flavor and was burnt. And as for service there was little to none, had to ask for everything and wait forever to get it?

We had high expectations b/c it's connected to a golf course. That was a mistake.This restaurant is a cross between a Wes Anderson movie and a hidden camera show. Where do these people come from!? The interactions with the staff were so surreal. Each one of them were strange in their own unique way.The atmosphere and decor were from another era entirely.The food was actually pretty good! Just a strange experience getting the food.

Thanksgiving dinner Nov24/22. Wow, and I don’t mean positive. A group of us arrived at 530pm for our thanksgiving dinner,excited to not have to cook at home.We had a reservation for that time. No one even came to our table til 615 to drop off overheated hard buns. 45 min later after we asked why we weren’t being served to be told “the person assigned to our table had a meltdown and refused to serve us.”The bar tender came and took our drinks & appetizer order(soup or Salad) chili soup which ended up being thick chili not soup. 3 people were waiting for salad, were told they ran out of lettuce! Then we were informed upon ordering, they were out of Turkey and Salmon. Then said 4 meals of turkey left. I wanted salmon but decided since they were out of salmon, to get a strip loin steak. The so called steak which I ordered (medium) showed up as prime rib,very Rare ,and before I took one bite I removed 3/4 of it in fat. When I said” I couldn’t eat it”they brought a turkey dinner( which they said they had none)It was totally cold as were everyone else’s dinner. Everyone’s so called Steak(prime rib) was raw.We couldn’t believe what we were told. I thought we must be on CANDID CAMERA and someone would come up to us and say it was all a joke.The staff were so stressed out, we had to feel bad for them. Where was the owner or manager who took booking for thanksgiving dinner as early as 530 and knew they hadn’t had enough turkey or lettuce for people who had made reservations.Totally unacceptable. They gave us a discount, but the entire evening was a disaster. I set it up for my friends and obviously felt guilty because of the disasterous experience.Like I said, it was in no way the fault of the wonderful , sympathetic staff who were absolutely distressed about the whole situation.I think management totally let those poor staff and customers down.We will never returnLinda

I really wouldn't even give it one star. I went in for lunch today. Sat at a table,sat for 15 minutes. No one greeted me ,or said I'll be right with you. I sat at a table by the bar middle of restaurant . There were maybe 7 other customers there. Needless to say, I just left. Horrible service.

Food here is horrible now, please save your money and eat somewhere else. Pretty bad when you cant even do nachos right...The current manager is extremely rude and she has been very ignorant to us the last couple of times we have been there so we will not go back.

They need a new menu switch up the specialsNeeds to be remodeled huge! Very out dated!Karaoke is fun

What a wonderful experience for our 50th wedding anniversary! The room was airy and bright. Dave helped us with food choices and the food turned out to be tender and tasty. Our server named Connie did a fabulous job and she had a great smile the whole time. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I would refer anybody to do a event here.

Seating no problem, flies a problem. Water and soft drink no problem getting. Food especially breakfast had to asked to be served and for bill. While we watch workers talking. Not crowd at all. Food tasty but service awful We ate dinner and breakfast never again.

Robert and the staff at Grandview Steakhouse are so friendly, the views are great and it all just comes off for a fun and relaxing dinner spot!

First time at this fine dining venue. Great meet-up place for breakfast. Wonderful attentive staff. Fabulous presentation of all our dishes. Loved the experience and recommend it highly.
