I truly did not want one miserable human to define this restaurant, but after a year of giving this place chance after chance, I’m done.
The older man at the front counter is openly hostile, dismissive, and seems personally offended that customers exist at all. Every visit feels like an inconvenience to him. Eye-rolling, snapping, barking responses, and a tone that makes you feel stupid for ordering food you’re paying for. (If he responds at all) It’s not an “off day.” It’s a pattern.
(told me the wrong total and then aggressively slammed my money on the counter and pushed it back at me. He said $30.32 but it was $32.30 He’s genuinely lucky My husband wasn’t with me.)
I live extremely close to this location and still drive all the way to 43rd Ave & Northern instead—because shockingly, I prefer to be treated like a human being. That should tell you everything.
What finally sealed it was reading the other reviews. I thought maybe I was being overly sensitive. I wasn’t. Dozens of people are describing the exact same man and the exact same behavior. Same attitude. Same hostility. Same front counter. That’s not coincidence—that’s a problem the owners are choosing to ignore.
Food doesn’t matter when the front of the house makes you feel unwelcome, rushed, or disrespected. Atmosphere matters. Basic decency matters. And one person with unchecked power at the door can absolutely poison an entire business.
This restaurant will continue to bleed customers as long as this man is the first point of contact. I will never return, and I genuinely hope management reads these reviews and understands: this is not a food issue—it’s a people issue.
There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the valley that serve great food without treating customers like garbage. Go to one of those.

I’ve eaten here many times, which is why I feel completely justified saying this: the service problem at this restaurant is not accidental—it’s enabled.
The older man who works the front counter is consistently rude, impatient, and needlessly abrasive. No greeting. No basic courtesy. Just curt responses, visible annoyance, and an attitude that makes it clear he does not want customers there. It’s uncomfortable enough that first-timers notice it immediately.
Before anyone jumps to excuses: this isn’t cultural, it isn’t a language barrier, and it isn’t a “bad day.” I’ve been coming here long enough to know better. This is the default behavior. And judging by the sheer number of reviews describing the same exact person and the same exact conduct, I’m far from alone.
What’s baffling is that management has clearly known about this for a while and has done nothing. When the same employee is repeatedly mentioned by strangers who don’t know each other, that’s not a misunderstanding—that’s a liability standing at your front door.
The food is irrelevant if the experience makes people feel unwelcome or disrespected. There are too many Vietnamese restaurants nearby that manage to serve good food and treat customers like adults.
I won’t be returning, and I actively steer people away from this location now. If this business fails, it won’t be because of competition—it will be because one employee was allowed to chase customers off for far too long.
I have also found hair in my food and I didn’t even get an apology. And it was too long to belong to any of the people working at the time.

The pho was ok not wow about it. Not a great big bowl for the price( maybe worth 10-12 not upwards of 14-17)and not many veggies came on the side. The guy who served our food and guy taking orders at the front were very rude. We were told to sit and still had to wait while others were served already. Pictured are my leftovers and me and my daughter got sick after leaving

I experienced horrible service. I’m unsure if the staff were having a bad day but that’s no excuse . Even my 4 yr old daughter wanted to leave . When paying the cashier shoved my receipt to me. Didn’t get our order taken after sitting down for about 15mins (no it wasn’t busy). Just an overall bad experience and won’t return as i’ve had better in my opinion. Try at your own risk …..

I was hoping for a nice meal, but honestly left pretty disappointed. The prices are definitely on the high side, especially for what you get, the flavors just felt ok Everything was kinda bland and didn't wow me at all, though my friend liked the food.
Parking was complicated there are not a lot of spaces since they share it with other restaurants too.
Inside, the place felt off it's hard to pin down exactly, but it wasn't very organized, and it came across as chaotic rather than bustling in a good way. The vibe wasn't the relaxed, casual spot I was expecting; it felt more stressed and unwelcoming.

I got the steak/beef pho. The broth is a bit sweet to my liking but once I add in the sauces and lime, delicious!! The pho is always super comforting. I’ve also gotten shrimp spring rolls and those were yummy too. The sauce for it is different from the usual peanut sauce I’ve had but, it was still good! When I first went here the owner spoke sternly. But, after that he has been pretty welcoming (still can be stern but I don’t take it to heart). When I crave pho, this is my go to spot.

Food was okay, the man serving Saturday morning was awful. Very rude and had a mean demeanor to every comment or question we had, acts like he hates life and everyone in it but saw he was kind and friendly to one table who seemed like regulars. Won't return because of him specifically, seriously ruined the experience.

I had combination Pho. The broth is very tasty and temperature HOT. Some restaurants broth are just warm not HOT. Soup must be super HOT. Under $15 for bowl of Pho. I couldn't finish it, they loaded with so much meat.

Food: A+. The broth is rich, the egg rolls are crisp, and the lemonade is fresh—all at great prices.
Service: D-. On several visits, the person who appears to be the owner has avoided eye contact with us, had an attitude, and messed up our order. As a Black man dining with my girlfriend from Guam, that pattern made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. The unprofessional atmosphere takes away from truly great cooking. I hope management trains or reassigns the front-of-house so every guest is treated with basic courtesy. Until then, we’ll pass despite how good the food is.
